Like I said, you can continue to use the legacy statistics just like you did up to now. I never used those but these are the commands to generate them from logs: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC4x/Command+Line+Operations#CommandLineOperations-Legacystatistics You can also use the commands you suggested to migrate to Solr statistics. If you'll be upgrading via "ant update" and not "ant fresh_install", don't forget you need to upgrade to DSpace 3 first, run the Solr optimize command and then upgrade to DSpace 4 as described in the upgrading instructions. See the upgrading notes on upgrading over multiple versions. Check the system requirements since they will be quite different between 1.5 and 4 - especially Java, Postgres, Maven versions. > I am wondering if there are any ways for me to import the differential > logs/stats for the case. IIRC, in DSpace 1.5 there was only one type of statistics available - generated from log files. So it should be easy to just copy over the missing part of the log file and then generate the statistics as usual. Then if you decide to migrate to Solr stats or ES stats, the normal process applies. [Dspace-tech] Statistics issues - upgrading DSpace in 2 phases
Hello DSpace Community, I am considering to upgrade my DSpace installations from 1.5 to 4.0 in 2 phases to ensure minimal downtime. 1. Capture a snapshot of DSpace 1.5 and then do all the upgrade there. I will perform all the statistical upgrade for the snapshot. All contents except for the log/stats will be frozen at then. 2. After all the upgrade is done, the snapshot will go live replacing the original production 1.5. I am wondering if there are any ways for me to import the differential logs/stats for the case. Thanks, Alexander Wong -- Flow-based real-time traffic analytics software. Cisco certified tool.
