Re: [Dspace-tech] adding a field pointing to the publisher's site

2009-06-29 Thread Claudia Jürgen
Hello Maitumelo,

for the jspui and the default item display you can configure this with
the dspace.cfg parameter

webui.itemdisplay.default

add schema.element.qualifier(link) to the list.

Hope that helps

Claudia Jürgen

Hi Maitumelo,

the config parameter webui.itemdisplay.default is only for the jspui.
For the xmlui there is an howto on the wiki:
http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/Modify_item_metadata_display_(Manakin)

Hope this helps

Re: [Dspace-tech] adding a field

2007-11-14 Thread Shane Beers
This requires modifying your Messages.properties. This is a file that anyone
doing customizations to DSpace start getting to know quite well.

You can read about modifying this file (and doing a lot of other stuff) in the
How-To guide. You can snag it here:

https://www.ideals.uiuc.edu/handle/2142/1043

Hope this helps.

I added the field dc.location to the dspace.cfg file simple view section
(about line #318). It then shows up in the simple view with the label

???metadata.dc.location???:

Is there any way to change this so it says Location?

All the display labels are in
config/language-packs/messages.properties in DSpace 1.4.x. You'll want
to add a line there:

metadata.dc.location = Location

and rebuild DSpace. I don't believe in this case you'll need to alter
a JSP at all.

There are full instructions at:

http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/Fix_%3F%3F%3Fsome.key.name%3F%3F%3F

Write back if you have any trouble. Fortunately, this isn't a difficult fix.
