One way to do this might be to make one or two copies of mirage theme.  In
one you hard code it to emphasise file, in the other you hard code it to
emphasise metadata.  Then you can use xmlui.xconf to make the decision
through pattern matching based on the collection/community ID.

There's probably a more elegant way to accomplish it but this should work.

Dear DSpacers,

I am resending this query hoping that someone out there have implemented
this. Another user actually contacted with me with similar query. I noticed
that there is only one configuration for xmlui.theme.mirage.item-list in
dspace.cfg and I want to use both file and metadata in different
communities/collections using mirage as our base theme. Hoping for a
positive response and thank you in advance.
