[DSTAR_DIGITAL] Re: ID-800H Data Port
An UPdate to my post. I am receiving data in both D*Chat and D-Rats :-) Just no transmit yet. Thanks Keith AB8CL --- In dstar_digital@yahoogroups.com, "Keith Parker" wrote: > > My rig will not transmit low speed data.
[DSTAR_DIGITAL] ID-800H Data Port
My rig will not transmit low speed data. I have tried using D*Chat and also D-Rats. The data cable is working as I did a loop back test on it and verified that it is working with two separate programs one was Com Test(a) and the other D*Chat. So I know that data is reaching the socket at the rig. If you are wondering how? I just shorted pin 4 and 7 on the 8 pin Din plug and ran data down the cable and got the echo back. The Data Transmition is set to DVT-AT. GPS-OF, SPD-96, BPS-96. The COM 1 is set 9600, 8 bit, parity-none,stop 1, XON/XOFF. What else if anything am I missing? just had the rig for 2 weeks now and want to be very sure before I send it back for a check-up on the data port. Is there a way to do a loop back test on the data port like the COM port. I have not been able to see if I am recieving data from the data port as I have not had the oportunnity to run across any one running D*Chat, D-Rats, or any other data programs on D*. The data cable is using pin 5, 3,and 2 on the db9 connector and 2, 7, and 4 on the 8pin mini din respectively..(5>2, 3>7, 2>4). [DSTAR_DIGITAL] Re: Repeater question
It's easier than you think, Edward. set URCALL=/W8DIG^C (the VHF node where the net is) set RPT1=W8DIG^^B (the UHF node you come in on) set RPT2=W*DIG^^G (the gateway and Dongle users hear you) you'll have to listen to node C to hear the net. But when it's your turn to talk, switch channels to UHF memory channel speak your piece then switch back to listen again. Just my opinion. [DSTAR_DIGITAL] Re: Repeater question
Oh course in my previous reply I am assuming that you can hear the Sunday night net that is on node C you just can't hit the repeater with a good signal from your location. 73 Keith AB8CL --- In dstar_digital@yahoogroups.com, "Edward Raybould" wrote: > > I hope that this is an easy question to answer. [DSTAR_DIGITAL] Registration
This is probably a worn out question...How can I find out if I'm REGISTERED? Thanks Keith AB8CL
[DSTAR_DIGITAL] D-Star MS
That's right I want know if any one has tried D-Star MS (meteor scatter)? I can't help but wonder how it would work over WSJT. Something like FSK441 transmitting via a D-Star rig, of course in DV mode? Sorry I don't own one or ever tried it(D-STAR). Some one has to try this and let me know how it works. I'm just wondering if weak signal via VHF with dig signal yada yada yada,,,?Perfect copy at the Receiving end because it's digital and easier copy? No Flames Please. Just Real nice friendly answers.one ham to another. '73 Keith AB8CL
