A node adapter does not, at any point, convert a D-STAR GMSK signal to analog audio. Mark (KB9KHM) --- In dstar_digital@yahoogroups.com, "ka2ugz" wrote: > > an analog repeater? Sure, well understood. The 'device' that converts GMSK to audio is a D-Star radio and that would be the auxillary link to the analog repeater system. -Original Message- From: kb9khm Sent: Wednesday, January 20, 2010 1:19 PM To: dstar_digital@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSTAR_DIGITAL] Re: Has anyone tried using the node adapter in the simplex mode as a link on ... The original question revolved about having an analog repeater relay a reflector's audio out the analog repeater, but to not allow audio from the analog repeater into the reflector. Not something I would do, as it is confusing to users, but it would not inject non-D-STAR into the D-STAR network. It could be achieved a couple of different ways, but not recommended. There's a time and place for everything, including interconnection to analog based systems and networks. I have written about this in the past in my blog at http://vk3jed.blogspot.com (scroll down towards the bottom). 73 de VK3JED / VK3IRL http://vkradio.com
