This goes in your DV-GPS menu (02/05) GPS MESSAGE
 Should work alright then.
I don't use aprs.fi, I use ui-view32 and have no issues with it...
For the MS150 we just recently had here in my zone, I used
REFFER2 and was able to beacon through the gateway with no problems...
Worked out really nice since my call sign was the command post.

Although I won't do it on a permanent basis, I want to be able to
broadcast my location via DPRS. I set the radio for GPS-A, set the
 unproto for API282,DSTAR* .

My packets are sorta getting out there, but aprs.fi says this:

 2010-05-23 04:02:09 UTC:
 N8TFDAPI282,DSTAR*,qAR,K8BIG-B:!3912.21N08421.73W/ [Unsupported packet
 format]

 Any thoughts?

does it show up on UI-View? via APRS?

Seems pretty easy to find out. Have you put your callsign into your favorite
APRS data viewer?

I like aprs.fi myself. Better map than most...

The Delorme EarthMate USB can output NMEA.

Here is a site that shows the USB Earthmate supporting NMEA-0183.

 Gus,
Don't d-star radios require NMEA. I don't believe that Delorme is NMEA.
