Bob G3VVT, Sir I have to agree with Ray MOST radios DO have the feature and
if it is a USA model you have to turn it on in a menu or with a "tab". Jack

actually the IC92AD and the ID800 both generate the 1750 burst the 92AD and
the ICE92 are similar radios.
The problem was that JAWS did not appear to be picking up how to enable the
burst within the DTMF memory
screen of the software but that has been solved with the help of someone
local to me.

Hi Ray,

May be totally wrong, but think you may be flogging a dead horse as
none of the radios I have seen of late from the USA have the 1750Hz
toneburst facility even included. Even an ancient FT208A I have does
not have this facility either!

Unless your radio was a European model believe you may be wasting your
time. You need an answer from the USA to check the problem.

now is there a way to make the radio remember that as when I pushed a file to
it the radio no longer
transmitted the burst when pressing that key combination.

Hi,

on the IC91 you have to press PTT and then the SQL button together
with this one. Then it transmits the 1750Hz tone, which is used at
many FM repeaters.
