[HCDX] 9665 kHz Radio Nacíonal Brasilia
Radio Nacional (from Brasil) was and still is very strong on this channel - prior to 2303 UTC it was playing non-stop brazilian pop music, then a huge amount of commercials were heard; I taped it and it may be the best tape I ever made of a Brazilian - I used a great microphone taper with very few noises room in the recording, as I'm reviewing it. 9665 is by far the strongest ZY here. Also heard 6090 Radio Bandeirantes earlier in the mid afternoon before I got to bed; now I re-wake and the channel is take dover by unID USA rel. stn. I keep up with shortwave DX-ing this evening as I found a place where with the long-wire attached to the telescopic antenna, I don't get any overload at all above 4 MHz; this morning I was hearing a spanish stn on 6180 - unIDenditfied and pretty weak - anyone interesed on this list in hearing a real-audio clip of this 6180 mystery ? 73 and good DX, Bogdan Chiochiu ---[Start Commercial]- World Radio TV Handbook 2003 is out! CANARIES ISLAND 6715 kHzFull Gospel Church, Las Palmas. Full data QSL letter signed by Mr Gyusub Chung. Mr Chung informs that the transmitter has 100 Watts and operates in SSB mode. The church is located in Altavista, the highest point in Las Palmas and the building is very beautiful because it used to be a nightclub 23 years ago. Mr Chung also sent me a pamphlet of the church written in Korean (parts in Spanish) where there is a photo of the church. I sent a CD with an audio clip and US$ 1. The reply arrived in 59 days. I just received this message from Tom Taylor at the European Music Radio on [EMAIL PROTECTED] EMR had planned to broadcast a Sunday during January from IRRS, Milano, Italy, but that obviously failed. Now it seems that they are going to broadcast the February programme via Ulbroka, Latvia. Tune in and hear their own explanation ! [HCDX] HCJB Australia - first regular broadcast
Hi all, just heard the first regular braodcast from HCJB Australia on 15480 kHz. Programme started at 1227 UTC with IDs as HCJB Australia - the Voice of the Great Southland. The first half hour was dedicated to the inauguration of the new site, including a speech of the station director and congratulations from the HCJB offices in the USA, Canada and the UK. Olipas mielenkiintoinen vastaus. WOR on todella testanut ns. IBOC-lähetysmenetelmää päiväsaikaan; kuten muutama muukin asema. WCHB-1200 on myös saanut luvan testata menetelmää yöllä. Testit ovat herättäneet laajasti negatiivista huomiota amerikkalaisten DX-kuuntelijoiden piirissä. Samalla kun analoginen kaista kapanee lähettää asema leveätä digitaalista signaalia peittäen viereiset 10-taajuudet "valkoiseen sumuun". Ongelmat ovat olleet sitä luokka että yleistyessään menetelmä todella tappaa DX-kuuntelun. Ymmärän hyvin mitä WOR:n inssi tarkoittaa kun hän sanoo DX-kuuntelun olevan menneen talven lunta. Olen aamulla tullut kotiin viikon LEM-pedikseltä ja kuuntelin siellä WCHB:ta. Mitään häitiötä viereisillä taajuuksilla en kuitenkaan havainnut.
