Tervehdys, laite tarvitsee ulkoisen äänikortin, eli LD-1B2:sta lähtee kaksi linjaa, USB tietokoneelle ja 3,5 mm stereolinja äänikortille. Välttämättä ei tarvita ulkoista äänikorttia, jos tietokoneen oma äänikortti on riittävän hyvä, mutta sellaisia ei taida olla olemassakaan. Itse hommasin ammattitason äänikortin laitetta varten. Mutta sitten varoituksen sanat. Laite jonka ostin oli viallinen ja toistuvista viesteistä huolimatta valmistaja ei ole reagoinut asiaan mitenkään. Tästä syystä olen käyttänyt IQ:ta, se on monellakin tapaa soveltuvampi kuin LD-1B2, jonka ansiota on enemmänkin se, että tällainen tekniikka tuli tunnetuksi. Korjautan tuon LD:n jossain vaiheessa, siinä on audiopuolella joku komponenttivika, koska audiolinja ei toimi oikealla tavalla. Tervehdys kaikille, Japella on tämä tanskalainen laite käytössä ja hyvin toimii, Jape myös mittasi siirtonopeuksia, oltiin 1 MBps tasolla, tuo riittää IQ:lla hyvin. 12 MBps ei ole kenelläkään, mutta asia on monella valmistajalla ilmaistu tarkoituksella epätarkasti. Erotustasoissa on myös eroja, joillain se on 1 KV, toisilla 2,5KV ja parhailla laitteilla 4.0 KV. Kuten tuli todettua USB2 high speed on mahdollista ja tekniikkakin on olemassa, asiaa lähestytään silloin kuitenkin hiukan eri näkökulmasta ja näitä systeemejä käytetään teollisuudessa. While looking for a solution for my lab, I found interesting USB isolator part, recently released by Analog Devices, and decided to give it a try. ADuM4160 works at full/low speed and uses built-in transformers. The uplink (host) side of it is powered by USB bus, the downlink (peripheral) side uses external supply. Jos käytetään erillistä äänikorttia, niin luulen että näytteenottotaajuus ratkaisee kuinka leveää kaistaa voi tallentaa max. Vaatimus vielä line-in linjasta, mikkiliitäntä ei käy. Halvat kortit 48k (alle 10e), pro 192k (n. 100e ??) SDR-IQ:ssa äänikortti on sisäänrakennettu, halvemmissa joutuu ostamaan ulkoisen. Onko 'halpa' sdr enää sitten sitä. Btw, olisiko jollain vinkkiä miten Winradissa saa DRM-lähetteen kuuluviin? Kaistanleveys on poskeellaan, jos sen laittaa kohdalleen niin taajuus on pielessä. Spectavuessa homma toimii hienosti. OK, Tuo USB2-erotin näyttää käyttävän AD:n piiriä ADuM4160/3160. Tutkin vähän ko. piirin skemoja ja jos olen oikein ymmärtänyt, erotus tapahtuu muuntajilla (monolithic air core transformer technology)! Ei siis optinen erotus. Piiri itsessään näyttää soveltuvan nopeaankin tiedonsiirtoon, ehkä käytännössä 6-8 MB/s saakka. Lähtö- ja tulopään systeemit sitten määrittelevät tuon todellisen siirtonopeuden ... ei pelkästään tämä erotin. Kannattaa myös varmistaa esim. toisella radiolla, että havaittavia häiriöitä todella tulee virtalähteestä tai tietokoneesta Perseus-signaaliin. Ainakin itsellä QTH:n ulkopuolista häiriötasoa on aina sen verran, että en ole pystynyt tositilanteessa havaitsemaan esim. Perseus-virtalähteen häiriöitä. Irrottamalla antennin sen kyllä havaitsee heikosti toisella radiolla. Mutta Lapin olosuhteet on erikseen. The PCB also contains a 5V switch mode regulator with wide input range. It supplies downlink side of AdUM4160 and bus-powered device connected to it, if necessary. It is built around Linear Technology’s LT1376 buck converter IC. Input range 6-25V, output 5V 600ma. The power connector is usual center-positive barrel type. I tested this circuit with my Bitscope DSO and Logicport logical analyzer; both work flawlessly. I also made an extensive data integrity test by moving and zipping/unzipping large file archives to and from USB flash drive, connected to a PC via this isolator; I haven’t seen a single error over more than 100Gb transferred. Project files, including Eagle schematic and board layout, as well as Gerbers, are available from downloads section. Additionally, PDF of the schematic is available in case you don’t have Eagle installed. The board can be easily made at home. It was designed using SOIC IC packages and 1206 capacitors and resistors. It is routed almost entirely over top side with two ground planes at the bottom side. ADuM4160 works at full/low speed and uses built-in transformers. The uplink (host) side of it is powered by USB bus, the downlink (peripheral) side uses external supply. The speed of the peripheral has to be manually set with jumpers on both sides of the isolator; if automatic speed detection is desired, a hub can be connected to the peripheral side and isolator configured for full speed. The PCB also contains a 5V switch mode regulator with wide input range. It supplies downlink side of AdUM4160 and bus-powered device connected to it, if necessary. It is built around Linear Technologys LT1376 buck converter IC. Input range 6-25V, output 5V 600ma. The power connector is usual center-positive barrel type. I tested this circuit with my Bitscope DSO and Logicport logical analyzer; both work flawlessly. I also made an extensive data integrity test by moving and zipping/unzipping large file archives to and from USB flash drive, connected to a PC via this isolator; I havent seen a single error over more than 100Gb transferred. Tässä toinen esimerkki elävästä elämästä: Samsungin LCD-monitorit häiritsevät merkittävästi heikkoja signaaleja HF-alueilla. Ongelma ei johdu virtalähteestä tai monitorikaapelista (kokeiltu 100 % suojattua ja ferriittejä). Itse kuvanmuodostusprosessi häiritsee ja tähän eivät auta monet vanhat konstit. Vanhalla monitorilla 28 MHz alue oli täynnä monitorin harhoja uudella LED-tyypillä häiriöt keskittyvät vahvimmillaan 18-24 MHz alueeseen. Sisäjohdotus minulla on tehty RG-58 kaapelilla - sopivan joustavaa ja helppoa käsitellä mutta kaapelin vaipan häiriösuojaus ei pelkästä palmikosta johtuen ole kovin suuri. Asiaa on nyt tutkittu ja monitorin häiriöt läpäisevät suoraan säteilemällä RG-58:n suojauksen (melko lähellä monitoria). Näyttää siltä, että sisäjohdotus on tehtävä uusiksi käyttäen ulkojohdotuksessakin hyväksi havaittua AIRCOM 7 kaapelia jossa suojauksena on umpivaippa kuparifoliosta + verkko. Halvalla syöttöjohdolla häiriön syy ei ole ns. vaippavirta vaipan suojaus ei siis kaikissa tapauksissa riitä. RG-58 vs. AIRCOM 7 vaipan vaimennuksen ero lienee 20-25 dB:n luokka viimeksi mainitun hyväksi. Pöydällä aluksi tehtyjen kokeiden perusteella isolaattorin avulla häiriötaso putosi 10 dB ja päästiin akkukäytön tasolle häiriöttömyydessä, kerrostalossa asemia nousi kuuluviin häiriöiden joukosta ällistyttävällä tavalla. Kun sain tämän työpaikka-QTH:ni kuntoon, oli aika kokeilla isolaattoria ihan oikeassa elämässä. Ja sama tulos, 10 dB:n ero häiriötasossa, joista häiriöistä suurin osa tulee tietokoneesta, sen virtalähteestä ja loput teollisuuslaitoksen monista muista prosesseista, kuten hitsauksesta. Nyt keskiaalloilla on tehokkaalla beveragella häiriötön -120 dB pohjataso, ilman isolaattoria se olisi tehtyjen kokeilujen perusteella n. -110 dB ja moni asema jäisi silloin kuulematta. Mutta ei jotain huonoakin. Toistaiseksi tutkimusten tuloksena on ollut, että laite toimii vain IQ:n kanssa, ei Perseuksen. JSN tutki asiaa ja ongelma on Perseuksen softassa. Toinen ongelma on se, että maksimi tallennettavaksi kaistanleveydeksi jää tällä tekniikalla n. 200-300 kHz, koska isolaattorin lävitse tieto siirtyy USB 1.1, eli 12 Mbit/s nopeudella. Ethernet-puolella on samanlaisia isolaattoreita ja niiden avulla päästäneen täyteen tiedonsiirtonopeuteen, eli SDRNet-miehet voinevat käyttää isolaattoria häiriöiden poistoon koko kaistanleveydellä. Tämä on edullisin ja tehokkain tapa poistaa tietokoneen kautta tulevia häiriöitä, olivat ne sitten tietokoneesta, sen virtalähteestä tai verkosta tulevia. IQ kelluu isolaattorin päässä jolloin ei synny maalenkkiä, eikä sen tuomia häiriöitä, koaksiaalikaapelin vaippavirtakuristinta ei myöskään tarvita ja koksin maadoitus voidaan tehdä ainoastaan toisessa, eli balunipäässä. Aihkiniemessä on nyt Perseusten kanssa käytössä toinen lähes yhtä edistyksellinen tekniikka, mutta galvaaninen erotus on sielläkin taikasana häiriöiden torjunnassa. When they turned on a Chinese made boombox for music, with provision for an USB pendrive, it created a splashing QRN, all over the rx range.
