interval signal, as various departments of the station are apparently trying to 
figure out what`s causing it. Christian Milling of Radio 700 sends an old 
recording of the Tirana IS in some different variations on the same tune, I 
plan to play on next World of Radio (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** BRAZIL. 4861.5, July 12 at 0141, JBA carrier; the off-frequency where Carlos 
Gonçalves, Portugal reports Rádio Alvorada, Londrina (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX

** BRAZIL. 11934.6-, July 12 at 0126, Rádio RB2 is OFF, which ought to be 
audible since its neighbor 11925.2, Rádio Bandeirantes is in Portuguese at S3. 
Other RB2 on 9724.9 was detected a bit earlier in bandscan (Glenn Hauser, OK,

** INDONESIA. 9526-, July 11 around 1305, no signal from VOI. Seems to be 
missing a lot lately. Ron Howard agrees it was off today, last heard on July 8. 
Atsunori Ishida site http://rri.jpn.org says it has not been heard since July 8 
except for 5 minutes of carrier on July 9 (And RRI Makassar 4750v not heard

** RUSSIA. 7295, July 11 at 1259, I`m listening to the JBA carrier, presumed R. 
Sakha, Yakutsk, but it stays on past 1300, 1301, finally off at 1301:49.5*

** SOLOMON ISLANDS. 5020, July 11 around 1145, no signal from SIBC (nor on day

** SOUTH AFRICA [and non]. 3320, July 12 at 0139, Radio Sonder Grense is S9+10, 
much stronger than usual, Afrikaans speech. There is always some signal from 
this in our evenings. I check 4949.7 whether Angola is also enhanced, but it`s 
not, maybe S6 like the noise level, but no modulation to be heard (Glenn

** SRI LANKA. 11905, July 12 at 0114:48.5, the S2 SLBC prélude starts playing 
on the carrier which has just come on; Instead of a 2 + 1 mis-timesignal, I

** U K [non]. 9835.0, July 12 at 0119, JBA carrier brings to mind Malaysia, 
which is registered 24 hours, but is anything else more likely now? Yes, HFCC 
shows BBC Hindi via UAE at 0100-0130, but the Bengali half-hour which follows

** U S A. WORLD OF RADIO 1833 monitoring: confirmed Monday July 11 after 2330

hear splatter down to 7495, but enough of WBCQ 7490 at S9+40 to hold its own

Pari pikaista kommenttia asiaan ja hieman sivusta:

HCDX Online Log koodiin on lähiaikoina tulossa muutoksia QSL:ien
ilmoittamiseen. Sen myötä vapaasti käytettävissä oleva koodi on muuttanut
githubiin (https://github.com/rkotalampi/HCDX-Online-Log).

Mitä tulee arkistomateriaalin talletukseen ja jakamiseen, mielestäni ei
kannata pyörää uudelleen keksiä. Internetissä on useita palveluja joiden
päälle jotain voisi jotain laittaa pystyyn. Esim. DropBox. $9.99/kuukausi
antaa 1TB tilaa. Pienenä rajoituksena tulee se, että materiaalia voi hakea
vain 100,000/päivä tai 20 GB/päivä -- tosin kuulostaa, että DX käytössä ei
tulisi ongelmaa. Muitakin mahdollisuuksia on -- esim. Google Docs, Box, One
Drive.

Kuten tuossa eilen SDXL:n Yahoo-listalla kommentoinkin, tallennustilan
tarjoaminen on yhtenä ajatuksena ollut SDXL:ssäkin. Myös fyysiselle
materiaalille on kanava olemassa. Näistä olikin puhetta reilu vuosi sitten:

-käyttöliittymän, kun sähköiselle materiaalille saisimme.

Lainaan eilistä viestistäni (joka ei tänne jostain syystä päätynyt):

Ilman muuta pitkäaikaisen (1959-2014) jäsenen Martti J. Pessin tallenteita
voidaan DX-Liiton haltuun (=serverille ja keloja fyysisestikin) ottaa. Jos
esim. IJL tuon digitoinnin pystyisi tekemään, niin mainiota. World on The
Air -tallenteet jo häneltä saimmekin. Osa noista Pessin äänitteistä näkyy jo
netistä löytyvänkin Thomas Nilssonin sivuilta:
http://www.thomasn.sverige.net/LAeeA.htm. Ovat olleet vuoden 1980 América
Latina en el Aire -kasetilla (by SSS ja JTK, tuottaja Erikoiskustannus Oy).
Kasetti opaskirjasineen on muuten vieläkin Tarvikepalvelussa myynnissä!

Se vain, että aika monella kuuntelijalla jo on materiaalia omilla
kotisivuilla ja ihan kaikkea ei ehkä kuitenkaan kannata samalle saitille
haalia. Jonkinlainen limiitti (MB) per käyttäjä voisi tulla harkittavaksi.
Esim. JKT:n hyvällä resoluutiolla skannatut QSL:t, oliko reilut 300 kpl,
veivät 686 MB. Toki mobiililatausten takia taitaa suositeltu koko per kuva
olla korkeintaan muutama sata kilotavua.
 
Tosin web-julkaisualusta WordPress kokoaa kaikki dokumentit formaatista
riippumatta yhteen ja samaan mediakirjastoon, mikä tekee ko. kirjaston
hallinnoinnista suht hankalaa. Sinänsä materiaalia olisi helppo "uploadata"
serverille, varsinkin jos käyttöliittymästä saa simppelin (muutama kenttä ja
kategoria). Sinne voisi kaikki ladata omat QSL:nsä tai klippinsä näkyviin /
kuuluviin, ja joita voisi sitten erilaisilla päätelaitteilla sujuvasti
tarkastella. Akilleen kantapää monen hyvän kehitysidean toteuttamisen
suhteen on nimenomaan tietokantaosaajien puute (sellaisten, jotka osaavat
homman ja joilla olisi aikaa). Yleensä heiltä loppuu aika jossain vaiheessa,
kun siviilielämääkin pitää sovittaa mukaan...
 
Näitä vapaaehtoisia PHP- ym. ohjelmisto-osaajia ei mm. RKO:n kyselyihin ole
ilmoittautunut. Liiton varallisuus ei ole kasvamassa ja ulkopuolisen
rahoituksen järjestäminen esim. Suomen Kulttuurirahaston kautta on todettu
erittäin työlääksi työnantaja- jne. velvoitteineen, joten muu kuin talkootyö
ei ole hanketta edistämässä. Sekin vaatii innostuneen primus motorin.
 
Historiantallennuksen perusasiat olivat niputettuna RM 10/2008:n jutussa
(joka ei isompaa ryntäystä aikaansaanut), ja nyt seuraavassa lehdessä on
tarkoitus esittää pieni kertaus. Kyllä asia tosiaan tulee koko ajan
ajankohtaisemmaksi, kun porukka vanhenee laajalla rintamalla eläkeikään.
Perhepiireissä ei aihe varmaankaan yhtä sukupolvea pidemmälle – jos niinkään
kauan – kanna, joten vaarana on, että ilman valmistautumista arvokasta
DX-historiaa katoaa kenenkään ulottumattomiin. Vaan tämä on yhteinen huoli
muiden alan toimijoiden (mm. SRAL ja SRHS) kanssa ja varmaan ”best
practices” on jossain päin jo koeteltu toimiviksi.
