ARGENTINA 11710.43 RAE 0156 end of pgm in PT. 0056-0100 tinkly 8 note IS
w/occas. "RAE, Argentina" IDs by M. 5+1 time ticks, then usual fanfare mx
theme w/SP ID by W and M, then multi-lingual IDs. Into what sounded like JP
pgm to 0157. 0157-0200 same IS routine. Time ticks, and fanfare/ID routine.
0202 M w/date and 3 nx headlines. "Unlimited sounds on the International
Service of the Argentine radio". M and W host chatter and pgm rundown. Tlk
abt a Cumbia artist then mx. Fairly decent with a very subtle drift. (9
August)

PERU 3360 Radio JPJ (Jesús Párraga Jiménez) 0824 definite mx here from
this new OA. 0826 what sounded like a jingle w/last syllable in last word
repeating like an echo. Into lively Pop-like mx sounding like Ramones "I Wanna
Be Sedated"!! Another Rock song and 0833 another brief echo jingle.
Definitely "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor at 0837-0840, then echo jingle again
but lcl QRM taking over. 0844 same jingle as at 0826. Stronger audio at 0850
w/jingle just before "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" remake by Cyndi Lauper. Dance
remake of "Bette Davis Eyes" at 0858 going to 0900, and into next Dance song.
"Sweet Child O Mine" by Guns N Roses at 0917. Sounded like more Tropical LA
Pops at 0955. Gradually faded but still audible at 1007. The jingles hrd on
the website match up pretty well with what I heard. It would have been much
easier if not for the horrendous QRN. (11 August)

AUSTRALIA 2368.5 R. Symban 1007 strong enough to hear and differentiate mx
and tlk, but that's abt it. Nice to get some audio though. A lot of
thunderstorm static crashes. (14 August)

PHILIPPINES 15190 PBS 1859 Hrd again w/usual promo/ID anmnt by M w/both R.
Pilipinas and PBS IDs, followed by long list of network stns by M and W. Best
hrd since 30 May, but still not as good. Heavy fast QSB. (21 August)

PHILIPPINES 15190 PBS Went off in mid-song at 1930 today. No usual ID
anmnts. Did hear the ID before at 1913+. Getting some lcl static-like QRM,
and also from 15205 slop, and co-channel Inconfidencia 15189.97. (27 August)

BAHRAIN 9745 R. Bahrain 2204-2257 Nothing but nonstop AR vcls and AR mx.
Jammed in LSB. Clearer in USB. Another co-channel stn came on at 2230 and was
equal to slightly stronger after 2237. R. Romania Int. came on at 2257 and
wiped it out. May have had this earlier at 1934 heavily jammed then as well.
(27 August)

SARAWAK (MALAYSIA) 9835 R. Malaysia Sarawak Lcl Sarawak nx by W after
1003, ID during nx at 1006. 1010 jingle and back to mx. Fairly good at this
time. Came back later and caught Koran at 1156-1202, then back to mx. RTTY
QRM from 9830. (28 August)

PHILIPPINES 15190 PBS *1730 caught s/on w/ID anmnts to start, full ID
w/sked anmnt, ID jingle, then into mx at 1732. (28 August)

BAHRAIN 9745 R. Bahrain Hrd on again w/jammer at 0006. AR mx. Definitely
USB +carrier. (2 Sept.)

SURINAM 4989.98 R. Apintie A strange mixture of songs after 0907.
Carnival like song, fast version of pres. NA, then M anncr w/ment of Apintie,
and W w/spiritual tlk. 0918 M again w/ment of FM stereo and Internet. Strong
but very low modulation. (4 Sept.)

UNIDENTIFIED 6104.74 UNID. Definite carrier here at 1003. Too weak and
heavy QRM from 6105 Asian. Thought I did hear mx though. I hesitate to
suggest the Mexican Candela FM. (4 Sept.)

UNIDENTIFIED 6075.74 UNID. Instru. elevator mx at 0917. Didn't hear much
more than that. Splatter from 6090. (5 Sept.)

BRAZIL 5990 R. Senado 1002 canned freq anmnt by M, then ID anmnt, and into
pres. nx by W. Good but fluttery. Not surprising since there were 2 solar
flares in the last 6 hours. (5 Sept.)
