After Giampiero Bernardini and Glenn Hauser alerts I have recorded a few minutes of classic music (an excerpt from an Henry Purcell opera, which was also heard in // with the station webstream. See http://www.radiounam.unam.mx/htm/index.htm) and few words in spanish on 30/1 at 2205-2245 utc on 9599.25 kHz. Very weak signal, but on a clear channel. The station was seemingly silent today 31/1, or propagative conditions were not as favourable as in the previous days. [HCDX] Radio Zavidovici
Seldomly reported Radio Zavidovici (Bosnia Herzegovina) was heard with local programming yesterday (8/2) at 1930 utc on the split frequency of 1502.87 kHz. At 2103 utc the station was gone, so they probably signed off in the meanwhile. The station seems to be active also in the late evening, despite the power supply problems reported in the latest Herman Boel's European Medium Wave Guide. The program heard consisted mainly of so-called turbofolk mx (a sort of balcanic patchanka, a mixture of pop/rock/elektro and traditional mx) and very frequent local advertisings, often with echo effect. Fine signals from some of the most unusual brazilian stations of the 60mb, last night. 4845.25 Radio Cultura, Manaus. 4915.1 Difusora AM, Macapà. This one was the thoughest to identify, as they run pop music in back to back for more than 1 hour without announcements. 5015.03 Radio Pioneira, Teresina. Surprisingly strong, dominating the frequency with a really enjoable programme of brasilian roots/blues music. 4885.05 R. Difusora Acreana, Rio Branco. All of the stations were heard with impresssive signals between 0100 and 0130 utc (with the sole exception of Acreana, which was heard at 0310 utc). My daily monitoring of the 49mb provided a nice surprise: 6080 R. Anhanguera 9/7 2245-2350 At 2245 w/Voz do Brasil, but wiped out by splats from 6075. Then getting better with sports in // 4915 with ids and usual canned Goias! short jungle with echo effect. It's unlisted in latest Morhrmann list http://www.sover.net/%7Ehackmohr/sw.htm and to my knowledge must have been off air since January 2002. Andean mx in ss, QRM from BBC 6195. 4826,38 2335- R. Sicuani, Peru. Huaynos e id in ss. 5952,48 2340- R. Pio XII, Bolivia. Loud and clear 6173.88 2320-2350 R. Tawantinsuyo, Cuzco, Peru. Avisos in ss, often repeated few times with many mentions of Cusco. At 2350 a newscast was heard. 6034.97 2325- RCN, S. Jose del Guaviare, Colombia. RCN Id and news from Barranquilla. 9624.78 2345- R. Fides (?), La Paz, Bolivia still there even late at night. Preview of the same match heard on Panamericana.
