RADIO CLUB special Christmas programmes




Radio Merkurs in Riga, Latvia will be broadcasing special Christmas 
programmes for ARC on the 22nd and 28th December 2013 via the transmitter 
near the seaside resort Jurmala on the Latvian west coast broadcasting on 
1485 kHz. The schedule is 1500-1600 Swedish time = 1400-1500 UTC.
The programs will be produced by the ARC member Ronny Forslund (Ronny B 
Goode) and every member that wants to send a special dedication can do so. 
Send your mp3 file with your Christmas greetings and your music request to 
i...@rock.x.se. If you have a recording of your requested music, please 
include it. Deadline for contributions is December 15.


ARTIC RADIO CLUB will confirm all correct reports with our special 
QSL-card. Send your report and mp3-file to: i...@rock.x.se  or ARC, c/o 
Ronny Forslund, Vita Huset, SE-17995 SVARTSJÖ, SWEDEN. If you want a QSL 
card, please include some form of return postage. Email reports will be 
confirmed by email.

Hei,

Onkos tämä nyt sitten eri lähetin ja QTH kuin se R Merkursin tavallinen 
taajuudella 1485 kHz? Vai onko Merkurs muuttanut jo aikaisemmin 
lähemmäksi meren rantaa, mikä selittäisikin sen tehoonsa nähden hyvän 
kuuluvuuden täällä?
(Toisaalta myös Riika on lähellä rantaa ja maaperän johtavuus sielläkin 
lienee hyvä Riianlahteen laskevan Väinäjoen (Daugava) rantamilla.)

televizijas tornis". MWLIST lienee ajan tasalla?
Viereisessä Primo Hotellissa (Nometnu iela 62) voisi Merkursia kuunnella 
pelkällä diodilla ja kuulokkeilla...

Ei, Bengt vieraili lähettimellä ja se on n. 10 km pohjoisempana, 
lähempänä rantaa, Daugavrivassa. Suunnilleen 57 01 30n 24 03e.

Sitä minä epäilinkin, ettei Merkurs ehkä ole kaupungin keskustassa. 
Ilmankos kuuluu kun on lähellä Riianlahden rantaa ja ilmeisesti antennin 
lisäksi myös maajohdot kunnossa.


Netissä voi salamannopeasti löytää vanhentuneita mutta vakuuttavan 
näköisiä tietoja.

Olisi myös hyvä, jos eri tietokantojen ylläpitäjät tekisivät enemmän 
yhteistyötä. Itse olen tarkkojen sijaintien suhteen päivitänyt mwmasts 
ja shortwavesites-tietokantoja vastaavissa Yahoo-ryhmissä.

programmes for ARC on the 22nd and 28th December 2013 via the
transmitter near the seaside resort Jurmala on the Latvian west coast
broadcasting on 1485 kHz. The schedule is 1500-1600 Swedish time =

hyvä. Ilmoitahan mwlistiin! Vielä siirryttiin 2,5 km lähemmäs merta, 
eipä Bengtin muistikuva ihan täsmännyt. Siinähän se Daugavriva paikan 
yläpuolella lukeekin. Sen verran tiheää on metsä, ettei löydy
