DX Chatters, There appears to be some confusion over the fees charged for submitting 7O1YGF cards. Here's the story, verified by the real authority -:-)- Ms. Sharon Taratula at ARRL: THERE IS NO $12.00 APPLICATION FEE FOR SUBMITTING ONLY 7O1YGF CARDS VIA A LOTW APPLICATION. This fact was mentioned in the release, but perhaps it was not entirely clear: If you select only the 7O1YGF QSOs you will not be assessed the fees that LoTW will report back to you. If you choose other QSOs a regular submission fee will apply; The fees mentioned above are both credit fees and DXCC application fees. Glorioso next month as well. As I wrote in another forum, I'm utterly fascinated by the thought of working entities that have been artificially closed off, seemingly-forever, by government fiat -- rather than just plain difficult or expensive to activate. Think Navassa versus Peter-1. With no sunspots, the tense world security and financial situations, I hope I'm around long enough to see another 7O or P5 or ZS8. Gotta wonder, back in the day, how many hams never lived long enough to get a BY, VU or a ZA in their logs. Yes, on those days it was no problems to get Heard, Macquarie, Campbell Island, Navassa,.Marion... Each time have a own specifics :))) 73!
