Re: [DX-CHAT] [DX-NEWS] difficult to work AH3D?

2003-02-02 Thread Gary Dixon K4MQG
Evening Charles, K4VUD:

Fortunately I found just the reverse of your bad luck. My timing must have
been just right on the AH3D fellows. I worked them on all bands, 160-10
Meters, and never spent more than 5 minutes on any band 80-10 Meters. It
took me two days on 160. Hi

My timing and luck must have been just right on this DXpedition.

In my opinion three operators have done an exceptional job with the lack of
sleep they have had.

Good luck with them on the bands you need them on !!

73s, Gary, K4MQG (South Carolina)

[DX-CHAT] INDEXA: Helping Make DX Happen

2007-11-28 Thread Gary Dixon K4MQG
Hello fellow DXers..Wanted to alert you to the recently revised web site
www.indexa.org <http://www.indexa.org/> that INDEXA now has. We are proud
of the additional features and functions.

INDEXA is all about providing financial support for DXpeditions considered
to be on the "most wanted list" so hope the pending DXpeditions we are
supporting will be a new DXCC entity or at least provide you with a few new
band countries.

Anyone interested in supporting INDEXA and its goals (including membership
or donations) can get information from the web site.

Thanks for considering INDEXA.

Effective immediately, DXCC announces the following changes to the DXCC Card
Checking program:

The 10-year rule is now removed. Card checkers can now check cards for
current entities only, dating back to November 15, 1945. Card checkers still
cannot verify 160 meter cards or deleted entities.

In addition, DXCC card checkers can also check applications, if they agree
to do so, for:

The Worked All States Award (WAS) (See www.arrl.org/awards/was); and

The VHF/UHF Century Club Award (VUCC) (See www.arrl.org/awards/vucc)

The restrictions can be found at:

http://www.arrl.org/awards/dxcc/faq/#_Toc94949216

Card Checkers cannot check:

Cards for 160-Meters

Cards for deleted entities

Cards more than 10 calendar years old. (eg: In 2007 card checkers
cannot check any card with a QSO date prior to January 1, 1997).

(See section IV rule 1(a))
