Since KX7OS does not appear in the FCC database (ULS), I would
suspect that is a pirate operation.

[DX-CHAT] CY9

2011-06-14 Thread Duane, WV2B

Hi folks, I am getting inquiries about an operation from St. Paul Island using
the call KX7OS. I have seen one spot made on 40 CW. Anyone know if this is
legit? Find it hard to believe someone would go through all the red tape for
permission and not announce an operation beforehand. Of course, lots of people
go out there without Coast Guard permission. Anyone know if this is a legit op
with permission, or on the island doing work for the CG which might make it
count? thanks and 73, Duane, WV2Bwww.stpaulisland.net To know even one life

2006-07-07 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hi folks,
We are looking for a VE1 ham interested in joining a minimalist Dxpedition to CY9, and/or helping arrange the various permits/permissions required. If interested please contact me for more detailed information ASAP.

[DX-CHAT] CY9 QSL Museum

2006-01-09 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hi Folks,
Thanks to all the helpful Dxers out there I now have 21 CY9 QSLs displayed on the page. There are a few more I know I am missing, and likely a lot I don't even know about. Missing WV2B/CY9 from 1993. WV2B/CY9 group card from 2000, and a W5KNE card, not sure of the year, with the nice line drawing of the NE island with big waves lapping up the rocks.

[DX-CHAT] CY9 card museum

2006-01-04 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hi,
Thanks to WB2LEZ and G3IQF there are a few more CY9 cards on the page. I'm not too sure how many to put per page, so it isn't too slow to view? Anyway, thanks for the quick response. Please take a look and if you have any cards not yet up your help would be appreciated. I do have cards from the operations I took part in, but heaven only knows where they are in all my stuff savlaged from the house fire.
73 for now, and gud DX,

[DX-CHAT] CY9 QSLs

2006-01-04 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hi folks,
I have decided to try to create an on-line qsl museum for expedition cards from St. Paul Island, CY9. some have been published on the internet, but over time seem to disappear. Please look at the page; http://www.stpaulisland.net/cy9qslmuseum.html
If you have any CY9 cards in your collection you could scan and send to me in jpg format it would be greatly appreciated. Many of my cards and St. Paul items were lost in a recent home fire, so any input is appreciated. Please indicate the year of the Dxpedition if it isn't indicated on the scan of the card.
Thanks and 73,
Duane, WV2B"Nothing great is ever achieved without enthusiasm."- Ralph Waldo Emerson.
