4B, MEXICO (Special Prefix). The Mexican Federal Telecommunications
Commission, "CoFeTel" (Comision Federal de  Telecomunicaciones), announced
this past week that it has authorized the use of the special prefix 4B for
Mexican stations throughout the year 2010, to celebrate the bicentennial
of Mexico's independence and the centennial of the Mexican Revolution.

5I, TANZANIA. Niko, S53A, is now active as 5I1S from Zanzibar until
possibly April 7th. He states this is his first holiday style trip with
some radio operation; "when time permits". He will be using an IC-7000,
w/100W and fixed delta loop antennas pointed to Europe (This will also
cover North America quite well). Activity is expected to be on 20/15/10
meters and possibly 17 meters as well. Niko is a CW fan, but this time
he took his mic on this trip, so there will be some possible SSB. QSL
via his home callsign S53A, by the Bureau or direct (see QRZ.com).

CV7, URUGUAY (Special Event). Ricardo, CX7ABK, will be using the special
callsign CV7G between April 17-19th. Activity is to celebrate "the landing
of 33 Orientales on Agraciada Beach in Uruguay". For more details, see:

Operations will be SSB on 40 and 20 meters. A special QSL card will be
issued. QSL via CX7ABK.

EF8, CANARY ISLANDS. Luis, EA8AY, will be active as EF8E during the CQWW
WPX CW Contest (May 29-30th) as a Single-Op/All-Band entry. QSL via EA8AY.

IOTA NEWS
  EU-062.  Waldi, SP7IDX, will be active as LA/SP7IDX from Engeloya Island
   between June 2–17th. Activity will be holiday style (DXing and
   fishing) on 20-10 meters using SSB and RTTY. He will operate
   with 100 watts into a Hexbeam antenna. QSL via his home
   callsign.

  EU-074.  Members of the Charente DX Group (CDXG) will activate Brehat
   Island (DIFM MA-012) as TM0B between May 21-28th. Activity
   will be on all HF bands, with 4-5 stations on the air, using
   CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK. Operators mentioned are Joel/F1BLQ,
   Michel/F5EOT, Gemon/F5LOW, Laurent/F5MNK, Fabrice/F5NBQ,
   Bertrand/F6HKA and Leon/ON4ZD/OS0S. QSL via F6ANA, direct
   or by the Bureau. After the DXpedition the log will be online

  NA-029.  Gregg, VE3ZZ, will again operate from Prince Edward Island
   (CISA PE-001, WLOTA 0523, WW Loc: FN76vs) between July 21-26th.

3B8- Slavo,  SP2JMB will operate CW as either 3B8/SP2JMB or  3B8SC  from
 Mauritius Island (AF-049) on 8-23  April.  He  will  be  joined  by
 Bogdan, 3B8/SP2FUD, who  will  be  operating  SSB  and  RTTY.  [TNX

 operate mainly CW on  the  HF  bands,  using  100  watts  and  wire

F  - Celebrating World  Amateur  Radio  Day,  the  REF's  Department  of
 Haut-Rhin (REF 68) will operate special event  station  TM68X  from

F  - A group of operators from Union Francaise  des  Telegraphistes  and
 Clipperton DX Club will be  active  as  F8UFT  from  Brehat  Island
 (EU-074) on 7-12 April. They  will  operate  CW,  SSB  and  digital
 modes on as many bands as possible. QSL  for  this  operation  only
 via F5UBH, direct or bureau. [TNX F5NQL]
F  - The Charente DX Group will be active as  TM0B  from  Brehat  Island
 (EU-074) on  21-28  May.  Seven  operators  (namely  F1BLQ,  F5EOT,
 F5LOW, F5MNK, F5NBQ, F6HKA and ON4ZD) will operate  SSB,  CW,  RTTY
 and PSK on the HF bands with four or five stations. QSL via  F6ANA,

F  - A group of seven operators  (namely  F4BCG,  F4FCS,  F5RAB,  F6AXN,

 (EU-068) on 7-14 April. They  will  operate  SSB,  CW  and  digital
 modes on the HF bands, 6 and 2 metres, 70 and 23cm. QSL via  F6KHI,

GM - MM0DGR/p will operate CW, SSB and BPSK63 on 40-10 metres  from  the

I  - Several members of ARI  Sanremo  will  be  active  as  IQ1SM/p  and
 I1UWF/p from the Hanbury Botanical Gardens nature  preserve  on  11
 April. They expect to operate SSB, CW and RTTY on 40-10  metres.QSL

JD1_oga- Once again Makoto, JI5RPT will be active as JD1BLY from  Chichijima
 (AS-031), Ogasawara on 2-7 May. He plans to  operate  CW,  SSB  and

 Lucas/ZS6ACT, Sid/ZS6AYC and Gert/ZS6GC will  be  active  as  LX9FC
 from Luxemburg on 5-11 April. They plan to operate  SSB,  CW,  RTTY

OK - Special callsign OL35OLP will be aired  by  former  radio  officers
 OK1DNJ, OK1DX, OK1FCA and OK1FCJ until the end of  April.  It  will
