[DX-NEWS] Sable Island QSL - CY0VR?

2002-03-26 Thread Geovincent

Well, I sent an email to Wayne at [EMAIL PROTECTED] in regard to QSO with CY0NR
and it didn't bounce back. So I guess he not only ingress QSL requests and
SASEs with green stamps and IRCs, but doesn't answer his email either.

I do believe that I will mention this the folks at the RAC booth in Dayton.
Maybe they can do something.

Re: [DX-NEWS] SABLE IS QSL ?

2002-03-24 Thread Geovincent

I worked Sable Island CY0NR on 27 Oct 1998 on 80m and have sent numerous QSL
requests to VE1NR with SASE and IRCs and have not had a reply. He does not
have an email address listed.

Has anyone else had any luck?

Re: [DXR] Need adr for DX spots on Web

2001-10-14 Thread Geovincent

Charly, I use one of the TelNet locations for more local DX spots, however,
there are usually only a few users signed on and almost all of the TelNet
services send spots to Internet DX Clusters.

Using DX Monitor in conjunction with DX Viewer allows you to filter spots and
you can view spots from only W3 or W6, etc.

Re: [DXR] CQWWPX contest

2001-03-26 Thread Geovincent

Here's the info on logs from the CQ Magazine web site.

"(h) Electronic submission of logs is encouraged, and in fact required for
all top scoring entrants and all who use a computer to log or prepare the
logs. The CABRILLO format
is preferred.  Please insure that you fill out all of the header information
including your club affiliation.  If you submit a CABRILLO log, no additional
summary sheet is
required.  If you cannot submit a CABRILLO log, you may submit the ASCII
output from most of the popular logging programs such as TR, CT, NA, Writelog
and SuperDuper.
You may also submit the *.BIN,*.DAT *.QDF files from CT, TR or NA.  If the
log is not in CABRILLO format, a separate summary sheet is required.  Please
name your files
with yourcall and the file type.  Example: N8BJQ submits a CABRILLO file.  It
should be named N8BJQ.CBR.  If N8BJQ chose to submit a non CABRILLO file such
as TR’s
.dat file, he should name  the log file N8BJQ.DAT and the summary file should
be N8BJQ.SUM.  See the WPX   web site for more information on email log
formats.  Logs
sent on disk should be on 3.5” disks if possible.
 (i) Logs may be submitted via e-mail to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.  Non CABRILLO
internet or disk submissions require a summary sheet as well as the log file.
All logs received via e-mail will be confirmed via
e-mail. A listing of logs received can be found on the CQ WPX website at
 and will be updated
frequently."
