Re: [DX-NEWS] DX Map

2001-12-29 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C

I got a Yaesu map (with a lot of other advertising) through the mail, but I
forget who I sent the request to. I think I started at the Yaesu web
site. It was folded to make it through the US mail in a standard 10x13
envelope, which makes it a bit less presentable than if it had been rolled
up. It's in the pile of stuff I'm going to put up, some day.

KC1XX has a beautiful world map on his wall, but I can't find my note with
the name of the manufacturer. Doesn't have DXCC prefixes, but does have
just about every island imaginable.

The ARRL has a very nice one. It is nice without a frame, and a real beauty
with a very nice wood frame.

Yaesu, or one of their dealers, has in the past, given
out a very large wall DX map with prefixes. Wonder if
now that they have a new parent company (Vertex Standard,
or something similar) still are supplying this map?

[DX-NEWS] DX Map

2001-12-29 Thread STRutledge

Is anyone currently printing a decent world ham radio map? The last ones I
saw were done by CQ and very nice. I think they quit printing them. I would
like one to put up on the wall of my shack. They are very handy.
