[Dx-packages] [Bug 932900] Re: Unity freeze, crashes when trying to restart - GPU lockup with IPEHR: 0x7a000002
Sorry for the spam, but this just happened again. This time I was dragging a Terminal window around which was running "top" while the machine was under load (load average between 4 and 5). I didn't cross monitors so that's probably a red herring. Everything froze, but by switching to VT 1 and back (Ctrl-Alt-F1, Ctrl- Alt-F7) I was able to regain control by relaunching unity with LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 from that window. I am sure I didn't have this problem just a week or two ago, sorry I can't be more specific other than that I am running 13.04. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. [Dx-packages] [Bug 793450] Re: Calendar doesn't show today's date until opened a second time today
I just put wrong date on contract. To me it feels like High priority bug. Although the date in the text field is correct, the graphic calendar still shows the date at which you either originally logged in, or clicked the calendar before. 4) Hide it, and show it once more. The calendar now shows the correct date. The conflicting visual data can be very confusing if you only summon the calendar to find out what day it is. (I don't get much sunlight.) [Dx-packages] [Bug 748539] Re: Multi-monitor - Panel and launcher visible on top of multimonitor non-focused fullscreen apps

[Dx-packages] [Bug 367947] Re: Notifications appear in non-visible area of multi-head desktop
You might try gsettings set com.canonical.notify-osd multihead-mode "focus-follow" After that the Notification will always appear on the screen which has the mouse on it. I wonder why this is not the default. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to notify-osd in Ubuntu. Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367947 Title: Notifications appear in non-visible area of multi-head desktop Status in Notify OSD: New Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Binary package hint: notify-osd I use xrandr to configure a multi-head display -- a main LCD screen and a TV-out. In order to keep within my video card's 2048x2048 virtual display size for 3D acceleration, I stack my screens vertically in the virtual display, with the smaller screen on top. Also, I have a single gnome panel at the bottom of my LCD screen. Without the top gnome panel (if I understand correctly), notify-osd defaults to placing the notifications at the top right of the display. However, for me, this is either a non-visible area, or a TV screen that is across the room from me (and most likely not even turned on). Re-arranging the screens side-by-side 'fixes' things, but at the cost of 3d acceleration (the virtual display is now greater than my card's 2048x2048 limit). If there is no top panel, any arrangement of screens with differing resolutions that leaves a 'dead area' at the top right will trigger this issue.
