[Dx-packages] [Bug 1026432] Re: Uninformative display with multiple batteries
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 880881 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880881 Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users. ** Changed in: indicator-power (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to indicator-power in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1026432 Title: Uninformative display with multiple batteries Status in “indicator-power” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: My laptop has two batteries (Lenovo Thinkpad) with the main one and a second one instead of the DVD drive. This indicator correctly knows that there are two batteries - clicking on it to get the menu shows both batteries and their (separate) statuses. However the icon/text display only shows the first battery. This system drains the second battery completely first. The text display will just say 100% until the second is drained at which point it starts counting down. Similarly it only shows charge remaining time for the first battery. (The drop down does show correct information.) The calculations should be summed over all batteries in the system. For example the time remaining depends on the sum of all battery remaining charges divided by the sum of all battery discharge rates and something similar being applicable for charge time. [Dx-packages] [Bug 880881] Re: Power indicator does not combine multiple battery status
Still occurs in trusty. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to indicator-power in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/880881 Title: Power indicator does not combine multiple battery status Status in The Power Indicator: Triaged Status in “indicator-power” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: I have an EliteBook 8540w with internal and external battery running Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric). Linux 3.0.0-12-generic #20-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 7 14:56:25 UTC 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux The power indicator (indicator-power, version 0.9-0ubuntu2) does not combine the status of both batteries. E.g. if one battery still has 1 hour left, and the other has 2 hours left, it will show 1:00 or 2:00, instead of 3:00. E.g. When the external battery is almost run out (but the internal one is still charged), the indicator becomes red, instead of staying white/grey. It should only be red when both batteries are almost drained. E.g. when the internal one is fully charged, and the external one is discharging, the estimated time show is the estimated time that the external one will be discharged, not taking into account the internal one. see attached screenshot (total time show should be around 4 hours) The original applet provided by gnome (I re-enabled the notification area) does (still) have the behavior as I expect. In other words, this is a regression compared to 10.10 (pre-unity). [Dx-packages] [Bug 1243233] Re: Holding Super key doesn't bring up shortcut overlay.
Ok, I tested this with an external monitor. When workspaces are enabled, the shortcuts overlay displays 1 additional section with 3 shortcuts. This makes it bigger, which must be why it doesn't appear in screens with 768 or less pixels of height. So, the overlay must be made smaller (there is a lot of padding). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1268167] Re: No Autohide Launcher Bar Mouse Reveal on Secondary Monitor
My unity version is also 5.20.0 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1268167 Title: No Autohide Launcher Bar Mouse Reveal on Secondary Monitor Status in Unity: New Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Since several updates performed on 1/8/2014, I am no longer able to reveal the launcher bar on my secondary (right) display with the mouse auto-reveal function. Under display settings, both monitors are set to display a launcher bar. Auto reveal works fine with the mouse on the primary (left) monitor. The sticky edge works fine with the secondary (right) monitor, but no auto reveal for the launcher bar. I can bring up the secondary (right) monitor launcher bar with the super key and alt+f1. So far I've reverted to Nvidia 3.04 drivers from 3.19 by purging from terminal and re-installing to no avail, and now back to 3.19 and it's still not working. Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/903302 Title: Dialog windows are not turning modal anyway Status in a fast and powerful GTK+ based mail client: Invalid Status in Overlay Scrollbar: New Status in “overlay-scrollbar” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When I create any GtkDialog in my application, i set these two methods: set_transient_for(parent_window) and set_modal(true), so I can block any interaction with the app until close the dialog. This approach works very good except when any child dialog widget uses scrollbars, for example, GtkFileChooserWidget or GtkScrolledWindow. This time, when I run dialog, some widgets from parent window, as GtkButton or GtkComboBox, are not blocking interaction. To reproduce, run this python script: #!/usr/bin/python from gi.repository import Gtk def button_on_clicked(button, parent): fch = Gtk.FileChooserDialog() fch.set_transient_for(parent) fch.set_modal(True) fch.show_all() fch.run() win = Gtk.Window() btn = Gtk.Button(Click me!) win.add(btn) btn.connect('clicked', button_on_clicked, win) win.set_position(Gtk.WindowPosition.CENTER) win.show_all() win.connect('destroy', Gtk.main_quit) Gtk.main() When I uninstall the overlay-scrollbar and liboverlay-scrollbar* packages, and restart unity/gnome-shell, the overlay are disabled and the problem is gone. Run the script above with and without overlay scrollbars and compare results. The issue can be reproduced in C++ and Python wrappers to GTK3 (gtkmm-3 and gi.repository.Gtk, respectively). I believe this is an overlay scrollbars issue with GTK3, reproduzible with pure C GTK3 or any GTK3 wrapper. I don't know if this issue affects GTK2. The workaround for me is disable overlay scrollbars to solve my issue. vinicius@OneiricLinux:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.10 Release: 11.10 vinicius@OneiricLinux:~$ apt-cache policy overlay-scrollbar overlay-scrollbar: Instalado: (nenhum) Candidato: 0.2.11-0ubuntu1 Tabela de versão: 0.2.11-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://br.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main amd64 Packages What I expected to happen: setting any child dialog modal property to true, all parent window widgets would be blocked.
