[Dx-packages] [Bug 1024459] Re: panel and launcher blinks when using libreoffice presenter/spreadsheet

2014-02-22 Thread Koen Roggemans
This bug also happens in Ubuntu 12.04, running latest unity for that version
(5.20).
Is it possible to backport the fix? We have about 200 laptops showing this
behaviour when editing a LibreOffice Writer document and changing the text
color. Launcher and top panel disappear.

The bug was already reported for unity version 5, but marked as
duplicate (bug 1024720)

Not an issue in gnome-panel, I believe this is a bug in indicators
stack.

Does this happen in Unity?

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1283410] [NEW] titlebar-font does not scale on high-dpi screen

2014-02-22 Thread Andreas E.
Public bug reported:

The titlebar-font appears to small in window titlebars, application menu and
indicators. Since all other fonts are consider the global scaling factor
automatically, the individual font sizes should not need to be changed.
In the screenshot I have org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences.titlebar-font=Ubuntu
Bold 11 (the default).
When I change it to Ubuntu Bold 22, most titlebars and the application title
in the panel show the (originally) expected font size, but the application menu
and indicators still show too small text.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1263228] Re: indicator-keyboard and gnome-panel icons are small (difficult to view on FullHD display)

2014-02-22 Thread Dmitry Shachnev
No, if it happens in Unity, then it is not a bug in gnome-panel/gnome-
applets/indicator-applet.

Other tasks look OK to me.

** No longer affects: indicator-applet (Ubuntu)

** Summary changed:

- indicator-keyboard and gnome-panel icons are small (difficult to view on
FullHD display)
+ icons in indicators are small (difficult to view on FullHD display)

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1283448] [NEW] resizing loop on high-dpi screen

2014-02-22 Thread Andreas E.
Public bug reported:

When the global scaling factor is set to 2, dconf-editor occasionally
starts changing its window size causing very high CPU activity.

This occurs for example while searching: It appears dconf-editor tries to
adjust the window dimensions to the size of the content.
It also happens when (then) resizing the window afterwards, it tries to revert
to the previous window size. This causes very high CPU activity and freezes the
window content.

This does not happen when the global scaling factor is set to 1. It
could be related to the new window resizing method that updates the
window content.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1217647] Re: Trash launcher icon expects trash folder in different location from any file manager

2014-02-22 Thread Peter
http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii240/chutney3000/Screenshotfrom2014-02-22142832_zps0ba0ffae.png

Screenshot of error.

I'm not sure what environment creates this scenario, so I cannot list
steps to reproduce. But once you see this bug, it affects the Recycle
Bin every time a file is placed in it. It does not affect the bin
itself, only the launcher icon's path to it. You ARE able to right click
Launcher icon and choose 'Empty Rubbish Bin', but you CANNOT left click
to explore from the launcher.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1283500] [NEW] local menu of other application

2014-02-22 Thread Andreas E.
Public bug reported:

I have menus set to be in the top panel and not local. When I open geany (gtk2)

not reappear again. VirtualBox's menu is correctly exported to the global

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1283530] [NEW] Using alt-printscreen when locally integrated menus is turned on creates undesirable results

2014-02-22 Thread Matthew Ames
Public bug reported:

When using locally integrated menus, creating screenshots of an app
produces undesirable results.

Depending on how fast you can perform alt+printscreen, you either see
only the menu items in the screenshot, or you see a crossfade between
the window title and the menu items.

This may be undesirable for anyone trying to create screenshots for
documentation.

Status in “indicator-sound” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
To reproduce this I just need a media player registered in the sound

button in the indicator to start the player. The result is an ugly
loading icon enclosed in an orange square.

Title:
add option for alt-tab window grouping disable

Status in Unity:
  Triaged
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
Good day, thank you for your wonderful work on Unity, I find it very usable.
The only thing that bothers me is the window grouping, as described here:
  http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1826736

  quote:
MY Question is if its possible to disable the Grouping part... such as
having multiple nautilus windows.
Primarily thunderbird is the largest annoyance.. if im writing an email on my
laptop and accedentally (touchpad 'palming') off the 'compose message' window;
by default and second nature, my brain tells my fingers to alt-tab back into
it. unfortunately, this DOES NOT WORK!

Basically, I am trying to restore Alt+Tab functionality from Unity 2D. I
tried number of other switchers, all have their separate issues. For example,
Static Application Switcher does not show minimalized windows (or windows
hidden by the show desktop shortcut), etc.
  Thanks :)

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1283617] [NEW] Fuzzy search on window spread filter is too narrow

2014-02-22 Thread Ethan Hogue
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:
- open a terminal, Files window, and Firefox window
- press Super+W to spread windows
- type terminal
- WHAT WAS EXPECTED: the terminal window would not be filtered out
- WHAT HAPPENED INSTEAD: the terminal window is not listed.

However, if you type firefox, the firefox window is shown because the
regex matches.

I propose that not only are the windows in spread filtered by title, but also by
- application name, e.g. gnome terminal
- generic name, e.g. web browser
- application category, e.g. multimedia

This will more closely follow the search patterns in the dash + HUD
search methods.
