For example, in the application lens I want to disable the Software center source in the list of the available apps. I can do this by going to the filter button and click on the local app source. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1470033] [NEW] Pressing Enter on the Reply to SMS field of the SMS notification will clear the notification and erase the typed text, but the reply is not sent.
Public bug reported: When recieving an SMS in ubuntu touch, you can reply to this text message in the notification area directly. However, if you press enter to add a newline, the text you have just typed gets deleted, the reply closed, just like as if you had pressed send, but no message gets sent. This happens on my BQ Aqauris E4.5 with all the latest updates. ** Affects: indicator-messages (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: indicator-messages reply-in-notification sms -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to indicator-messages in Ubuntu. I can't reproduce this, do you get this on regular basis? It's almost as though the windows are being redrawn may times per second into a buffer without clearing it first each time (but clearing it every second or so). While this is happening, I notice that the drop shadow for the top bar does the same thing. This can also be observed if one uses Alt-Tab to select an app that has multiple windows that then expand out into a similar display. I've observed this on systems with Intel, NVIDIA, and ATI display hardware, so I don't think it's hardware-specific. All my Ubuntu systems have 2 or 3 monitors. Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1438870 Title: Lock screen doesn't emit ActiveChanged signal Status in Unity: Confirmed Status in unity package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in unity-settings-daemon package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in unity-settings-daemon source package in Trusty: In Progress Status in unity-settings-daemon source package in Vivid: In Progress Bug description: tl;dr; Unity doesn't emit the ActiveChanged signal when the screen is locked/unlocked Long version: unity-settings-daemon's automount plugin has code to detect whether the screen is locked or not before automatically mounting a volume. This prevents someone from inserting a USB thumb drive when the screen is locked and exploiting a possible nautilus thumbnailer vulnerability. (See bug #714958 for original implementation details.) In Ubuntu 14.04, this code no longer works. Inserting a USB thumb drive while the screen is locked results in a Nautilus window opening underneath the lock screen, and the contents of the USB thumb drive being read. Since the screen lock got switched to Unity in Ubuntu 14.04, Unity no longer emits the org.gnome.ScreenSaver ActiveChanged signal when the screen gets locked or unlocked. To test: 1- in terminal, type: dbus-monitor type='signal',sender='org.gnome.ScreenSaver',interface='org.gnome.ScreenSaver' 2- Lock the screen 3- Unlock the screen 4- Notice that no signal was received ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: unity 7.3.2+15.04.20150330-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-10.10-generic 3.19.2 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-10-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.17-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Tue Mar 31 15:15:48 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-11-26 (489 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander - Release amd64 (20131016.1) SourcePackage: unity UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to vivid on 2015-03-07 (24 days ago) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1438870/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages Post to : dx-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Dx-packages] [Bug 1457910] Re: Unity panels steal input events while under (some) fullscreen windows
Thanks for the report, I'm trying to figure Mh, so... I don't get this issue (but I only have two monitors here). What happens: - Focus goes to the detached view. I think this is a unity bug because I did the same test under Fedora 22 (Gnome 3), Lubuntu and Kubuntu and all of them presented the expected behaviour. Also, while I was editing some screenshots using gimp in multi window mode, something even stranger happened: After doing step 8 on eclipse, the focus did not even go to eclipse, it went to one of the gimp windows. Also I tried to disable all compiz plugins that unity does not depend on, but the behaviour kept the same. I'd like to add that my comment (#2) is not correct. The bug went away for a while when I set the launcher to only show up on one display, but the bug later began happening regardless of the option. It's intermittent. Sometimes a program will go full screen correctly; other times the Unity panels will steal the full screen program's input. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. I set the system locale to Korean language, which worked okay. When I tried to set regional format (date, time, currency, number, metric, etc.), however, the options are only limited to 5 regions: US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand. I do live in the US, but I want to set the regional format in Korean because that goes with the system language. I currently set the regional format to that of Canada because I am not familiar with US system of yards, feet and pounds. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the date format shown on the middle of the task bar is a mixture of English and Korean (Frankenstein-ish). As I browsed through the bug report launchpad site, I found this bug has a long history which dates back to Ubuntu version 9.04. I have installed Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 LTS on my other computer and it does not have the same bug. I guess it has something to do with the newly introduced systemd? I would very much like to see this bug is fixed ASAP (at least before the release of 15.04 proper version). I love GNOME interface, but this bug annoys me. Regards.
