Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with the 
indicator-appmenu package.  You made this bug report some time ago and Ubuntu 
has been updated since then. 

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the 
ticket? 
If it is still a problem, are you still interested in finding a solution to 
this bug? 
If you are, could you let us know and, run the following (only once):
apport-collect 1688515
and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this 
particular issue.

Bug description:
  indicator-appmenu - can't rotate first level menu elements in vertical mode.
  Also - menu items not switched on mouse hover on first level menu elements.

  How to reproduce:  
  install xfce (or xubuntu);
  install indicator-appmenu;
  login in xfce (or xubuntu) session;
  set main xfce-panel (with indicator plugin) in to vertical mode;
  run applications which having menu (example: thunderbird or chromium-browser);
  see to indicator plugin in xfce-panel.
