[Dx-packages] [Bug 1440162] Re: Misplaced spinner in sound menu

2015-04-27 Thread Bib
Hmmm. After I rebooted, there was no more a spinner/hourglass in the menu...
My menu seems correct width. IIRC the spinner was in the left half part of the
menu.

Bug description:
  [Impact]

Other users logged into a system may loose work if another user shuts
down/reboots a system. Data loss is not a Good Thing.

  [Test Case]

  Steps to reproduce:

  1) Create a second account in the system
  2) While the first account is open, open a session with the second one
  3) Try to shutdown the system

  Expected results:
The system logs out instead of shutting down (ideally with a warning on why
it did that)

  Actual results:
The system shutdowns and unsaved data on session1 is lost

  [ Regression Potential]

  None.

  --
  Desired resolution:

  - Add a warning message informing the user that other users are logged in and
then shutting down will also close their sessions as proposed in the mockup
attached to comment #12
  - The warning message should be Other users are currently logged in to this
computer, shutting down now will also close these other sessions

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1327902] Re: light-locker shortcut won't work

2014-06-10 Thread Bib
Yes I manually installed light-locker for the aim I said above. Now
understanding that it isn't the default locker, I'll focuse in Unity locker,
trying to find if there is a setting for my goal (having a background picture
different from users' personal wallpaper).
Thank you Simon and sorry for the noise.

Bug description:
As advised in README I set a customized shortcut light-locker-command -l
that overrides the default one (Super+L).
Super+L still triggers the other old locking system that shows the wallpaper
instead of light-dm picture.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1328537] Re: Can't find where to shut off showing the user's wallpaper in Unity locker

2014-06-10 Thread Bib
Ooops: I found this for per user setting: dconf editor
-com.canonical.unity.unity-greeter-draw-user-backgrounds : untick , done :)
Now I just have to check this for system wide setting... maybe there :

When the session is locked in Trusty Tahr 14.04 the background picture is the
user wallpaper instead of a generic/common/local public picture. This is the
same whatever the way the lockscreen is triggered, Super+L or elapsed
inactivity.

 hmmm
sudo -i
[sudo] password for me:
root@lap:~# su lightdm -s /bin/bash
lightdm@lap:/root$ gsettings get com.canonical.unity-greeter
draw-user-backgrounds
false

still false... maybe my own account setting was reset on upgrade?
