[Dx-packages] [Bug 829384] Re: libreoffice fullscreen causes errors in unity
Testing in Ubuntu 14.04, I see no issues with LibreOffice fullscreen and Unity. Please file a new issue, if problems persist. ** Also affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released ** Changed in: libreoffice (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/829384 Title: libreoffice fullscreen causes errors in unity Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Status in unity package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: OS: Ubuntu 11.04 stable Application: Libreoffice 3.3.3 stack, installed via PPA Unity v3.8.16-0ubuntu1~natty1 (unity) On entering and exiting Libreoffice Writer fullscreen, pressing Super or the Ubuntu button causes the Launcher to turn grey. Dash fails to be called up, and quicklists do not load. Holding Super fails to display the relevant hotkeys for applications on the Launcher (only those for workspace switcher and trash show). Pressing Super, clicking the Ubuntu button or clicking on the Launcher restores the Launcher to colour, but the functions remain broken until command "unity --replace" is run. Note: "functions" are only launcher application hotkeys, quicklists and Dash. Clicking on icons still works. The problem does not arise with LibreOffice Calc on fullscreen. Indeed, after exiting fullscreen mode, all functionality broken by Writer is restored, except for quicklists. When both are running fullscreen, the same thing happens. Calling up and dismissing Dash restores quicklists. As a side-note: When entering fullscreen mode for LibreOffice Writer or Calc, Unity's panel and launcher are both hidden for ALL applications on that workspace. Other workspaces are unaffected. Window decorations for windowed applications are unaffected. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1296715] Re: Menu items are greyed out in Libreoffice menu.
So looking into this is like following the white rabbit: The g_lo_action_group and g_lo_menu from vcl/unx/gtk/window/glo{actiongroup,menu}.cxx seem fine. The vcl menu from include/vcl/menu.hxx seems fine too. Neither VCLXMenu from include/toolkit nor the various Menubar classes from framework/ seem to be the issue Now at sfx2 using the insert bookmark entry as an example to follow: - This is provided by the SwTextShell with SlotId:20302 - When leaving the formula mode, a new SwTextShell is instantiated and pushed on the stack of the SfxDispatcher (but only upon flush() with a timeout callback to make things more interesting to debug) So the shell seems to be there, but doesnt claim the slot. [Dx-packages] [Bug 739184] Re: [Libreoffice] Mnemonics do not work in Unity
see bug 1113008 for related symptoms -- although in a different implementation, so unlikely to be directly related. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1085169] Re: LibreOffice Menus Stop Working even with libreoffice=1:3.6.2~rc2-0ubuntu4 and indicator-appmenu=12.10.3-0ubuntu2.1
Fixed in saucy. That is, the menu is showing at the top of the screen, and you can select a menu item, however nothing happens. Once the behaviour starts, none of the menu items work, including File Exit. The only way to get the menus to work again, is to quit LibreOffice and restart the program. This has been reported in Writer and Calc so far. This happens regardless of the video driver, and on 32 or 64 bits. This is with libreoffice version = 1:3.6.2~rc2-0ubuntu4 and indicator-appmenu 12.10.3-0ubuntu2.1 (currently in quantal-proposed) ONLY. If you do not have these installed, you are hitting bug 1064962 or bug 1075263 resp..
