Bug description:
There's currently a trend of application developers to provide
multiple .desktops for their apps in order to get to different parts
of the app (for example private browsing in a web browser). One
possible way to fulfill that need without needing multiple .desktops
littered around would be to have popular search-based launchers also
search through quicklist items in a .desktop. In this way, power users
who need quick access to those other functions can have them without
littering menus or grids with extra icons.

It's also important to note that many apps already use Quicklist items
this way (as that's the designed use); adding the ability to search
them would be an improvement to everyone as it'd expose those
quicklist items via keyboard rather than requiring users to right-
  click on the launcher item.

In Ubuntu 14.10, the mouse cursor graphic gets corrupted under certain
occasions. It then looks flipped, sheared or shows fragments of a
  previous cursor.

  * when switching the cursor them forth and back in Gnome Tweak Tool

Maybe related, the cursor does not always show the correct image scale

after login, or when hovering specific areas, or on mouse down to

Title:
  Power statistics not refreshing

Status in “indicator-power” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
My problem is the following, when i check the battery status in Power
Statistics (gnome-power-statistics in terminal), it shows that my battery
status is being refreshed every 20 seconds or so...
The thing is, that it doesn't refresh the AC Adapter, and so it shows that the
adapter is disconnected all the time. (clearly, if i started the computer with
the adapter disconnected, if i did it with it connected, it will show it as
  always charging).

the command 'acpi -v' does take notice of when the adapter is connected, but
fails to recognize that the battery is being charged, and power statistics
  don't refresh the status.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

The refresh on the battery side seems to be dependent (among other things) of
the battery status. For example, (i restarted with the ac adapter plugged in,
so it knows it is plugged, but not refreshing) when my battery got fully
charged, as it doesn't recognize when the AC adapter gets unplugged, and so,
it
doesn't need to refresh the battery status (if it isn't losing any battery
charge, because the AC adapter has been plugged all the time, why refresh
it?).

if i use acpi -V,with the cable connected, i get:

  tw@potatOS:~$ acpi -V

I dont know how to check the version of the power manager, but if i try to
  install it, i get:

  tw@potatOS:~$ sudo apt-get install gnome-power-manager
  [sudo] password for tw:
  Reading package lists... Done
  Building dependency tree
  Reading state information... Done
gnome-power-manager is already the newest version.

  Thanks in advance!
