Title:
Unity 5.10 Launcher shortens favorites names in dconf

Status in Unity:
  Incomplete
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
This is the dconf key for /desktop/unity/launcher/favorites when I'm
  using Unity:

  ['nautilus-home.desktop', 'firefox.desktop', 'gedit.desktop',
  'skypetab-ng.desktop', 'ubuntu-software-center.desktop', 'wine-
  Programs-Steam-Steam.desktop', 'alacarte-made.desktop']

This is the same dconf key when I'm using Unity 2D:

  ['nautilus-home.desktop', 'firefox.desktop', 'gedit.desktop',
  'skypetab-ng.desktop', 'ubuntu-software-center.desktop',
  '/home/shiba/.local/share/applications/wine/Programs/Steam/Steam.desktop',
  '/home/shiba/.local/share/applications/alacarte-made.desktop']

The last two favourites are Steam (Wine) and a desktop file I created with
Alacarte.
The shortened version of the former is parsed wrongly, as
wine-Programs-Steam-Steam.desktop doesn't exist. This leads to a warning:

  WARN 2012-04-15 10:37:15 unity.favorites
FavoriteStoreGSettings.cpp:139 Unable to load GDesktopAppInfo for
  'wine-Programs-Steam-Steam.desktop'

and of course the desktop file is not displayed in the launcher. The
forrect format is that of Unity 2D, because even if the favourite name
was shortened as Steam.desktop it would not be seen by Unity, as it
is not in a */applications/ directory.

With packages from 14.04 repos it still persists. I can try what Yu-

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1306417] Re: Lockscreen can be bypassed after screen has blanked

On my system lockscreen lose keyboard focus even if not pressing Alt +
Tab. The only way to unlock is to trigger switch user from the
indicator.

Title:
Lockscreen can be bypassed after screen has blanked

Status in Unity:
  In Progress
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Lock the screen
  2. Let the lockscreen blank
  3. Press ALT+TAB

  What happens:
The application switcher appears and it's possible to switch between
applications. The chosen application will get keyboard focus and any input will
go there.

  What should happen:
Nothing. Lockscreen should grab the keyboard and stop the input from going
anywhere.

This has security implications. For example it's possible to open the
Run command view and run unity --replace to destroy the lockscreen
  and open the session.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1126108] Re: Indicator disappears entirely when disabling / turning off bluetooth

2014-01-28 Thread Fabrizio Narni
It doesn't disappear anymore, but turning bluetooth off using the
indicator only brings down the interface (hci0 on my PC) and it doesn't
actually power off the adapter (according to rfkill). Is that the
desired behavior?

Indicator disappears entirely when disabling / turning off bluetooth

  Fix Released

Bug description:
Bug 1116289 made the BT indicator disappear when there is no hardware.
However, with that version I now also have it disappear when my
existing BT hardware is merely disabled. I. e. I disable BT from the
indicator, then it disappears, leaving me no obvious method to turn it
back on again. I can re-enabble it in control-center, and then the
  indicator comes back.

I think when it sees no actual BT hardware it ought to check rfkill
whether there is disabled BT hardware:

  $ grep -r . /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/{type,state,soft,persistent}
  /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/type:bluetooth
  /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state:1
  /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/soft:0
  /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/persistent:1

After disabling BT from the indicator, soft changes to 1:

  $ grep -r . /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/{type,state,soft,persistent}
  /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/type:bluetooth
  /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state:0

Bug description:
In current raring, when the bluetooth antenna is disabled the
bluetooth indicator icon is missing. This is a problem because the
bluetooth indicator is the *only GUI interface* for enabling the
