[Dx-packages] [Bug 886605] Re: Desktop, Launcher and menu bar still visible when screen locked

2014-12-23 Thread Kenan Gutić
After a bit looking I found out that the lock screen would work OK if I werent
downloading anything with firefox.
When I download bigger file with firefox and left my PC to locks, then the
launcher and panel shows up on lock screen.

  [Regression Potential]
Visual regressions, shell drawing problems. Part of a big change, many
regression potentials.

I think the main issue here is gnome-screensaver failing to

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1316284] [NEW] Load/Unload Cycle Count

2014-05-05 Thread Kenan Gutić
Public bug reported:

I have a little a bit of a problem with my Ubuntu.
My Load/Unload Cycle Count is currently at 92125.

The problem is that Load/Unload Cycle Count get higher every time I use my
laptop on battery mode.
With AC it seems fine, but with battery in a matter of a few minutes (1-2) my
Load/Unload Cycle Count gets higer for 3 numbers.

I checked it on Windows, and it was at 92117. Then I booted in Ubuntu
and the number climed at 92121. I used laptop on AC for 20 minutes and
then it was at 92122. Then I unpluged AC, and used my laptop on battery
for few minutes and the number was at 92125. Then again on AC for 15
minutes and it was at 92125. So it gets high quickly on battery, very
quickly.

Also I hear scratching noise of HDD when Ubuntu opens Files, Firefox os
something like that.
On Windows I almost never hear that, only when doing something hard for HDD.

This is happening on my 750GB Seagate disk.
Running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with Windows 7 dual boot.

massive memory leak in unity-panel-service and hud-service when
invoking the hud on Firefox profiles with large amounts of bookmarks
  LTS 12.04 14.04

Status in The Application Menu:

Status in Unity:

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
unity-panel-service and hud-service quickly racks up memory and CPU
usage until I kill it when invoking the HUD on Firefox. It's taking
anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, but it sometimes makes
  the system completely unusable.

  1. run Firefox 12.0 in the foreground
  2. hit Alt to bring up HUD
  3. type any text
  4. select one proposal from HUD
  5. wait for unity-panel-service and hud-service to fill up the remaining RAM
and swap space.

This is due to a high number of bookmarks in a user profile
  (hundreds).
