[Dx-packages] [Bug 1214713] Re: No confirmation dialog when clicking suspend on the cog menu.
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 783808 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783808 It is however a tedious waste of time should one accidentally trigger suspend or hibernate from the session menu when one meant to logout (as someone who oft uses his laptop from a distance, that *does* happen on occassion). I really wish you chaps would reconsider, even if it just meant adding the confirmation dialogues as an option and/or having them suppressed by default. Although Canonical do seem increasingly opposed to offering even a minimal level of customisation/options now a days, so I won't hold my breath. :-( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1242112] Re: Shutdown/restart dialogue is not working if Cairo-Dock and its logout applet are running
Tom Beckmann's answer to Question #250144 (https://answers.launchpad.net/gala/+question/250144) as well as his workaround for my similar issues with a modified pantheon session (using Compiz rather than Gala) could well be enlightening on this matter. I've haven't deployed the workaround yet, but I thought it best to share here regardless. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu.
