[Dx-packages] [Bug 1369737] Re: Send button does not enable until you press spacebar

2014-09-16 Thread Tiago Salem Herrmann
As a reminder, we need to call Qt.inputMethod.commit() so the buffer
gets committed and the text property is correctly set.

Title:
Send button does not enable until you press spacebar

Status in “indicator-messages” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  krillin build 40, rtm image

  - make sure word prediction/preditive text is turned on (this is now the
default)
  - receive a text message on your phone
  - pull down messaging indicator
  - click on the message
  - type Hello in the entry field

  Expected result:
  - the send button should become active as soon as you start typing

  Actual result:
  - send button stays disabled until you press the spacebar

The send button should not wait until the word is committed before
becoming active, but instead should listen for any change and enable
the button accordingly. The messaging app does this correctly.

2014-09-15 Thread Tiago Salem Herrmann
Bill debugged this issue and this is what we found:
http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/8353187/

Looks more like an ofono bug to me. I will reassign.

** Project changed: telephony-service = ofono

Bug description:
  This is a regression.
I have two keyboard layouts activated, the Dvorak and the English US. The
Dvorak should be the default keyboard. That is the way I have it set up, and it
shows up in the task bar on top as En1, which is the Dvorak.
However, when I start to type, it starts in QUERTY.
  ??
To correct this, I go to the task bar (where it shows EN1, or Dvorak),
re-select the Dvorak, and then everything is fine.
  ??

I have another minor problem which should probably go on another bug, but
happened at the same time.
CTL-ALT-T doesn't bring up the terminal any more. No matter what keyboard I'm
using.

[Dx-packages] [Bug 1227920] Re: after suspend/resume, the Unity HUD is always open when I unlock the screen

2013-10-20 Thread salem
I see this behaviour as well on my desktop. Ubuntu 13.10 64bit, nvidia
graphics (binary drivers).

I suspend using menu option, then resume by pressing power button. I get
a password screen, enter my password, and when it drops to the desktop,
the HUD is already open.
