Well, I used two somethings, is it too much for you? So before I will try to make some mockup...I will try to explain it more. A) there is a plenty of space all around, but mainly, when you hover your pointer on DASH, it slightly changes the background to some with more opacity, where there is something clickable. But in the finall it looks wierd,when you can click in the right side and open the button on the left side with it. But OK, I cannot say it it the wrong way, BUT... The problem is - DASh is divided into rectangles, but do not show it to a customer - user, he has to find it by himself and that can be really confusing. B) DASH cannot use blank space. Please look at http://180016988.r.cdn77.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Menu_019.png , there is a lot of space between Weather text and Weather channel icon for example. Shrink it or place there some separator (shiny white bar for example, but this way it is just ugly. When I'm switching workspaces, it occasionally locks up (becoming more frequent). Most of the time, I'm going from the current one down (Ctrl+Alt+Down Arrow), and it freezes mid slide. Typically, I'm able to correct things by backing out to a terminal then returning (Ctrl+Alt+F1, pause, Alt+F7), but sometimes when I return the dual screen setup acts as one large screen (windows are stretched to the full width of both screens) and many of the windows collect on the first workspace. Public bug reported: Hi, If I use touchscreen, I can move, resize windows, open DASH etc. If I open webapp (like youtube, facebook etc. in unity browser), unity unresponsive to touches, I cannot resize windows, switch between them by tap on them, I cannot open DASH by click. I have to use mouse then. But in Applications tabs there are some text etc and when someone hover on them by cursor, there are huge rectangle that do not corespond in size to text. It is confusing because something is expected by text and something different then happens. I mean, it is not bad, but it will confuse newbies. I think small, tiny shapes there would be usefull and then it will act like expected - rectangles will glow properly. Public bug reported: Hi, I use Ubuntu 12.04 64bit and sometimes, when I click to another workspace, my screen turns purple with Ubuntu and dots = ubuntu plymouth screen and with cursor. I can change windows using alt+tab and then I can see everything including unity, but when I release those keys, there is purple screen again. Sometimes screen is not purple, but black, but the behaviour is the same. It happens for about 5mins and then revert to normal state. It is computer in a company so it is annoying. With all of enablement stacks (quantal, raring, saucy), sometimes when I drag windows from one workspace to another, it behaves strange. Sometimes when I drag window to another workspace, other windows in this workspace disappears. Sometimes I move mouse with dragged window only a bit (cursor moves a bit) but window is flying a lot. (small detail: In KDE4.8 I see graphical corruption - white stripes.) Kernel/xorg enablement stacks do not help. The situation is the same. Public bug reported: Hi, I am using Ubuntu 12.04.3 on my laptop with HD3200 GPU and opensource drivers. Whenever I open DASH, moving among apps icons is extremely slow. The white box moves very slowly and so we do not know whether we have the app choosen by mouse or not. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1257797] [NEW] Ubuntu cannot be rebooted, turned-off using menu
Public bug reported: Hi, I have menu options to reboot and shutdown ubuntu (unity), but they do not work, they do not do anything. I have to push button on PC (power) and then Ubuntu asks if I want to reboot/shutdown/suspend... it.
