[Dx-packages] [Bug 1297393] Re: Firefox steals focus after switching to other windows
It had not experienced this bug for a while in Unity, but it is happening again everytime since yesterday. Probably a recent update revived this bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1297393 Title: Firefox steals focus after switching to other windows Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: (Ubuntu 13.10) If I alt+tab or click in another application in unity panel, the chosen application window goes to the top for a few milliseconds and then Firefox window becomes focused again. After switching to the application from 3 to 4 times, its focus is not stolen by Firefox again. It does not happen in Gnome 3. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1310200] Re: Indicators disappear at the panel (clementine, dropbox, skype etc)
I haven't been able to grasp a pattern as to when the Clementine indicator disappears, for it can be any time in the middle of a song, with no obvious relationship with a specific process. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. [Dx-packages] [Bug 1192081] Re: Previews for applications are really slow to display anything
** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = In Progress ** Changed in: software-center (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = eduardo (lalo7america) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity-lens-applications in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1192081 Title: Previews for applications are really slow to display anything Status in Ubuntu Software Center: Confirmed Status in Unity Applications Lens: Triaged Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: In Progress Status in “unity-lens-applications” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: I'm seeing rightly on forums and generally the Internet that 100scopes previews are slow, combined with the fact that we now have the left click showing the preview by default frustrate a lot of users. On my beefy machine (i7, 8G of rams), the preview for an application takes 3/4s to show, you can't do anything meanwhile as there is no button to launch the application (because you didn't double click, just left click and thought argh, I should have double click). Because of this, we are making the 1st landing of 100 scopes experience bad and we should fix it (at least, in that applicatoin lens) by either preloading the software-center-dbus (/usr/share /software-center/software-center-dbus) daemon (we can't have it always running as it's taking over 100MB of memory) when hovering an app lens result, or when it's the first result (so can be directly triggered by pressing [Enter]) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/software-center/+bug/1192081/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages Post to : dx-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dx-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Dx-packages] [Bug 1201679] Re: ibus' Super+Space shortcut (usually) doesn't work
Another workaround: Simply change it to CTRL+Space. For some reason, the Shift+Super+Space combination didn't work for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu. Matching subscriptions: dx-packages https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1201679 Title: ibus' Super+Space shortcut (usually) doesn't work Status in Unity: New Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: 1. Add the ubuntu-desktop PPA on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-desktop/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get install indicator-keyboard 2. Log out and log back in. 2. Open System SettingsRegion Language 3. Switch to the Text Entry tab. 4. Click the + button to add at least two more keyboard layouts. 5. Log out and log back in. 6. Try to use the (new) default Super+Space keyboard shortcut to switch between keyboard layouts. What happens --- Usually, Super+Space is ignored. It worked for me once on login but every other time I tested it didn't work. It works fine in GNOME Shell but not in Unity. gsettings reset org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.media-keys switch-input-source seems to be enough to nudge Unity into respecting the Super+Space keyboard shortcut. My guess is that Unity is too aggressive in binding the Super key to itself. Workaround - Shift+Super+Space, the keyboard shortcut to switch backward between keyboard layouts works.
