Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. We have tried to recreate this on the latest release of Ubuntu and cannot reproduce it. This bug is being marked as Invalid. I don't think this bug happens randomly. I can reproduce the bug predictably. To reproduce the bug: 1. Open Spotify from the Unity launcher. 2. Exit Spotify. 3. Open Spotify again. To avoid the bug: 1. Open Spotify from the Unity launcher. 2. Click Hide Spotify in the system tray icon (this may require a few tries until it says Open Spotify). 3. Exit Spotify. 4. Open Spotify again. The key is to click Hide Spotify first in the system tray icon.
