Title:
Clicking iPhone in Launcher hangs Compiz (gvfs sync call not
  returning)

Status in Unity:
  Confirmed
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  compiz | 1:0.9.11+14.04.20140409-0ubuntu1, Ubuntu 14.04

  1. Connect an iPhone, and choose Trust if necessary.
  2. In the Unity Launcher, click either of the iPhone items (Name of iPhone
or Documents on Name of iPhone).
  3. Try to click anywhere -- any window, the Launcher, or the menu bar.

  What happens: Nothing.
What should happen: Ubuntu responds as normal.

  To recover:
  4. Type Fn Ctrl Alt F1 to switch to the console, and log in if necessary.
  5. ps aux | grep compiz
  6. kill -9 {the number of the compiz process}
  7. Fn Alt F7.

Compare bug 367, where Compiz crashes when unmounting an iPhone.
