[Dx4win] Priority 6 Spots Definition
From the help, the definition of Priority 6 on spots is: 6 Band/Mode not conf green on white Worked one or more stations using this band/mode combination but none of these contacts have been confirmed. However, incoming spots are assigned Priority 6 for not only the above definition, but also for cases of Band/mode not worked. Since I am primarily interested in new band/mode QSOs, I had hoped that the new version would be able to set a color for that particular and specific case. Perhaps it does, and I'm missing a setting somewhere. For now, any green on white spot needs to be checked individually. Help anybody? 73 - Dave N3RD

Well.. If you saw my previous most on a similar problem with new country (which is mitigated by a check option)... And a suggestion on how to address it... So we now have 1. All time new country (reverse yellow yellow on black?) 2. All time new mode award (reverse red) 3. All time new band award (reverse blue) 4. All time new mode/band no award (reverse green) 5. Country not confirmed (yellow black on yellow?) 6. Mode award not confirmed (red) 7. Band award not confirmed (blue) 8. Band/mode not confirmed no award (green) 9. The Present Black 10. The present Grey I think that takes care of all possibilities... -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dave Hawes Sent: February 2, 2003 8:29 AM To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] Priority 6 Spots Definition From the help, the definition of Priority 6 on spots is: 6 Band/Mode not conf green on white Worked one or more stations using this band/mode combination but none of these contacts have been confirmed. How about a spot that is BOTH a new band and a new mode? E.g. AH3D on 15m RTTY was BOTH new band (never worked KH3 on 15M using ANY mode) AND a new mode (never worked KH3 using RTTY on ANY band). Does that have it's own alert, or does it alert as a new mode or a new band only? de Brian W3BW -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mel Martin (VE2DC) Sent: Sunday, February 02, 2003 8:46 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: RE: [Dx4win] Priority 6 Spots Definition Well.. New Mode takes priority, since there are fewer mode countries than band countries. 73 - Jim AD1C At 12:30 PM 2/2/2003 -0500, Brian Wruble W3BW asked: How about a spot that is BOTH a new band and a new mode? [Dx4win] VERSION 6
Hi. I have just upgraded from ver 5.02 to ver 6. It allseems to be working = well after copying the save file and merging the .ini file. I want to = back up the program on another networked computer. With ver 5 I simply = copied the entire program to a harddrive on another computer and can = actually run it from either location directly from the HD without going = thru the network. =20 I tried the same thing with ver 6. I cannot update the second computer. = First copy was fine but when I add qsos to original computer and copy = it to the second computer it will not update the number of qsos. It = remains as it did during the first copy. Any ideas pse? tnx Burt w1zs --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html The reason this message is shown is because the post was in HTML or had an attachment. [Dx4win] CT9 log import problem
Convert the CT file to ADIF then import into DX4WIN. 73 - Jim AD1C At 07:58 PM 2/2/2003 -0500, Dave Hawes N3RD wrote: Just attempted to import a CT9 log into my v6.01 DX4WIN log file. It complained about many of the dates in the .BIN file. It put error messages in the QSO notes field, left the date blank, and stuck all those problem QSOs at the front of the DX4WIN log. As a test, I went back to DX4WIN v4.04, and imported the very same CT9 BIN file into the log file without any problems at all. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.ad1c.com PGP Fingerprint: D8E2 3D78 339F A7F1 8C13 1193 B5D1 4FB6 79D1 70DC
