[Dx4win] xp cw drivers
Works fine here under XP... If you did an upgrade, I think you can re-install DX4WIN so that it installs the appropriate drivers... Or you can copy them manually... >From the Help file (did you read it?) == Port Driver The installation script installs a port access driver to support CW keying using a printer port and the generation of the CW side tone: for Win/95/98: Windows\System\Vichw11.vxd for Win/NT/2000/XP: WinNT\System32\Divers\Vichw11.sys The help file also tells you how to extract these files... -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of John Webb Sent: February 22, 2003 9:50 PM To: Dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: [Dx4win] xp cw drivers Help, upgraded from me to xp...no cw drivers...HELP,73 john ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win

[Dx4win] Another DX spot window problem
Hi, I have another 6.02 version problem. In my log (contains over 16.000 QSO) I see I never worked SV/A on 160m. (No RTTY, NO CW, NO PHONE) The DX spot announce SY8A and 6.02 counts it for SY/A with priority 3. I make this PHONE QSO with SY8A and store it as SV/A (with ENTER). I found that SY8A is not a SV/A - Mt.Athos but SV - Greece. I overwrite the Prefix value of this QSO from the Prefix SV/A to Prefix SV and store it. The priority of SY8A in the DX spots window change from 3 to 5. But this is for sure wrong because SV (Greece) I have C - confirmed on CW and PHONE. After storing of another QSO (with IT9EQO) I see that the SY8A Priority in the DX spots window change now the priority 5 to priority 7 ! It must be a 6.02 problem I think, in the 5.03 was all OK. 73 Milan, OK1FM Milan GÜTTER http://www.ok1fm.com E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[Dx4win] Using LPT1 with DX4WIN and Win2000
Does anyone have the LPT port working with DX4WIN v6.02 and Windows = 2000? I use Direct I/O = (http://www.direct-io.com/index.htm?http&&&www.direct-io.com/kb/q63.h= tm) to use the LPT port when using WriteLog for contesting (OS-Windows = 2000). It will appropriately switch between 2 radios using the Top Ten = Devices "DX Doubler" box and keys the appropriate radio when using CW. I have set up Direct I/O to use with DX4WIN v6.02 but have not been able = to get it to key CW or switch the DX Doubler box as it will with = WriteLog. I receive the following error messages: "Cannot find LPT1 for Radio 1/2 Switch" and "Cannot find LPT1 for Keying" Any help would be appreciated. 73, Jim Kauten, MD, W4TE James R. [Dx4win] Invalid QSO's and DX spots color/priority problem
Hello, in the 6.02 version I have a problem with the DX spots and their priority. >From the older DX4WIN versions I have in my log few QSO's which are set as "Invalid for DX" File "Valid DX" is set to "Invalid", or "rstR" set to "0" - invalid QSO This I use for called stations without reply, conditions watching, for not confirmed QSO's by DXpedition because NOT IN LOG, etc. I found, that the 6.02 DX spots window ignore this INVALID setting and counts this invalid QSO's as CONFIRMED. (DX spot window is set to DXCC colors) Any help or it is a 6.02 problem? 73 Milan, OK1FM Milan GÜTTER http://www.ok1fm.com E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[Dx4win] Newbie Questions & Assistance Request!
Hello, just wondering, at one moment when I played around with DX Spot Window and reinstalled v 6.02, all of a sudden I couldn't see the last 10 or so QSOs in the QSO window. This has never happened before and I am a DX4WIN addict since version 1. I looked at the log window, no QSOs, I used CTRL+HOME and CTRL+END, no QSOs. And so, all of a sudden, they were back. I don't know what made them come back. Any ideas from the group? W98SE is used. [Dx4win] Headed For Antarctica?
Are you headed to Antarctica? Know somebody who is? Here's a way you can help KC4AAA get on bands other than 20 meters. A thread on the [EMAIL PROTECTED] reflector addressed working KC4AAA on bands other than 20M. Antarctica on other bands would be a nice addition to a great many logs. Ford, N0FP suggested the SteppIR reflector members take up a collection to provide KC4AAA with a SteppIR antenna. Upon seeing this, John, WA7IR immediately offered to donate a 3 element plus 6M SteppIR to KC4AAA if the reflector members could find a way to get the antenna to Antarctica! So, we are looking for someone headed to Antarctica who will take the antenna, or who has a means of getting the antenna there please contact Ford, N0FP with a post to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Or contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I will forward. Thanks, Jerry K3BZ Also, please pass this message on to any other HF, antenna, or other amateur radio forums to which you may have access. Thanks and 73.
