Hi, This message was supposed to go to all users, but I never saw it. Just in case, I'm repeating the message below. Paul - Date: Sun, 11 May 2003 22:45:49 -0400 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] From: Alan L. Waller [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: QSL.NET Info Greetings, It's been a while since I contacted all users of QSL.NET. I hope things have been going well for you and that you are using your QSL.NET web site and e-mail address. If for some reason you no longer need it please let me know your ham call so I can delete your site. We are at a critical time for funding. Donations have been almost non-existent for the last 6 months. I need to remind you again that QSL.NET exists only with your support, if you use a web page, list server or e-mail here then help us keep it on-line and free. If we do not get financial help like all good things it will disappear as we know it today. I realize it is easy to take QSL.NET for granted but please help us keep it free by sending a donation immediately.next month may be to late. Our immediate needs are to build 2 mirror web servers as we have had offers to co-locate them gratis, this will help our reliability. The mail server and FTP server need to be replaced as they have been spinning for over 2 years and are seriously overloaded. Again this will only be done with your help. [Dx4win] can this be done?
I have read the filter rules and still a little unsure: I want to set up a voice alert for particular callsigns, but only on the 50MHz band. I do not want those alerts on other bands (even if I need it as a band/mode slot etc. I do not want to filter at the DXcluster end as I still want to see the spots on the other bands, just not get the voice alert. Possible? Neil Carr G0JHC
[Dx4win] Kenwood TS-690S
Bob Select the radio as Kenwood, and the baud rate should be fixed at 4800. Ensure that DTR and RTS are high, as they likely provide the power to your level converter. I highly suspect that this is your problem. Make sure that it is the correct com port that the radio is connected to (ie Com 1). You can use TS-450 as well. Sounds like there might be a problem with the interface, so you might want to try some other software. Make sure the baud rates match (if I remember Kenwood is fixed at 4800 baud something like N82). You should be able to open something like Hyperterminal, set it up on the com port for the radio at 4800 and move the VFO. At that point, data should flow across the screen. Before I blame my homebrew IK2BCP interface I want to make sure I have the proper data going to the radio. [Dx4win] 756 Pro 2 and PW-1
Anyone else using a 756 p2 /pw-1 on dx4win? If you are, what is your method of setup? I using the CT17 CI-V interface with 756 on port 1 and PW1 on port 2... I see the freq on DX4Win switch back and forth from 20M to 23cm continuously in the band cell in the software. Ocassionally my rotator won't move the first time I send a new direction to it. I am betting it is a conflict in the CI-V settings, as it worked fine before adding the PW-1. Any ideas? Mac, W8XF
