[Dx4win] Radio Time Out

2006-03-07 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
ICOM radios work fine with DX4WIN. I have not had the timeout problem. Have
used both 756 Pro and Pro III.

Make sure you are are using latest version of microHam router (3.0.2) and
firmware (2.5).

Also make sure your ICOM is set to a REAL baud rate --- NOT AUTO --- and that
both DX4WIN and microHam are using that SAME baud rate.

You're not checking microHam while DX4Win is up and running also, by chance?

[Dx4win] Thanks but no success

2006-03-07 Thread John Shaw
Well I don't think the delay value is important to the DX4WIN program as
long as it is not set to Zero, as for its purpose to address hot
switching issues each radio is different so you need to figure that out
for your setup.

One thing I need to make clear I only have one digi mode running at a
time. If I am doing CW I have the CW keyboard open, no PSK31 or RTTY
window open. When I want to do RTTY I close the CW keyboard and open
MTTY window. Same for PSK31 no CW keyboard no MTTY window open when
running PSK31. I only have one radio, one receiver, one transmitter
can't do more than one thing at a time.

If for some perverse reason you want to do these things at the same time
then I think you are going to need one heck of a lot more options on
different com ports to get around all the conflicts.

For me as far as this issue is concerned DX4WIN is working as it should.

Now if only a new version would come out to fix all the other bugs in
7.01 especially the one about the DX spots controlling real time log
entry band mode I would be a happy camper again.

John Said,
Anyway I was getting the same error as you, couldn't figure it out till
just recently I read in the help files under PTT delay A zero value
indicates that PTT keying is not used. Sure enough mine was set at
zero, changed that and bingo now it all works fine.

What did you change the value of the delay to, so you got it to work
with all 3 modes?

I have RTTY and PSK31 working now but if I try CW out the same com port
then RTTY stops working but CW works.

MY setup is:
Omni VI+ Set to RTS high in DX4WIN 7.01 setup parameters
MMTTY Main software is on COM 7 an works fine as a stand alone program.
Also Writelog works very well w/MMTTY plugin on com 7.

DX4WIN Setup
RTTY set for PTT control w/ RTS
PSK31 set for com 7 RTS ( Won't key if set to PTT control)
CW set for none
RTTY and PSK31 work fine in DX4WIN with this configuration.

If I set CW for com7 delay 3 PTT DTR CW keying to RTS, CW works fine but
NO RTTY or PSK31 keying.

Thanks for all your comments and help on the reflector. I must have
something set wrong. I would like to have all 3 modes like you have.

Wayne N2WK

[Dx4win] LOTW Known Problems

Exporting to / Importing from LoTW

Importing from LoTW

Known Problems

6. There is no way for LoTW import to fill in missing information in
your logbook from the imported QSOs, such as state, county, grid, IOTA

Why not? Maybe when? At least don't erase the state or county info
that is there before the upload confirmation is flagged.

Setting the import mode to sets upl conf flag only should NOT erase
state/county info. Areyou saying it does? Which version of DX4WIN you
running?

Paul may be enhancing this for 7.0next

I can't find a way to have the QSL-manager info also exported in the ADIF
output.

Is this possible at all, and if so: can someone please tell me how?
