[Dx4win] QRZ Error: Database not found

2006-06-12 Thread John Shaw
Hi Jim,

I may be able to help here.

Change your line:

Data Directory: E:\QRZ Ham Radio

To

Data Directory: E:\

As I understand, the directory the data is in needs to be on the root
Dir and in DX4WIN you just need to point to the root Dir.

I think this has frustrated many over the years.

Good luck.

John ZL1BYZ.

Subject: [Dx4win] QRZ Error: Database not found

Hi Folks,

I just got the Summer 2006 QRZ CDROM and installed on my hard drive.

I set up my DX4WIN preferences as follows:

Data Source: QRZ CDRom
Data Directory: E:\QRZ Ham Radio

When I try to use F3 lookup I get the following error:

QRZ Error: Database not found

Anyone know what I might have done wrong?

Thanks & 73 - Jim AD1C

[Dx4win] QRZ Error: Database not found

2006-06-12 Thread John Shaw
In addition to my last message I am assuming E:\ is your hard drive
where you have copied the data.
I cant remember if the directory name is important or not, on mine its
called "Callbk"

[Dx4win] DX4win 6.03

2006-06-12 Thread Mike VA3MW
Thanks All (and I mean all).

I've received several copies. Thanks for being the backup to my backup. ;)
I didn't realize there was a 6.04.

Now, if I can just get Paul to send me my key. I might be able to recover
that from my old hard drive, just not sure where to look.

Mike

Subject: [Dx4win] IC-706MKIIG with CT-17
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

I am trying to hook my IC-706MKIIG to DX4WIN via my CT-17 computer
interface. I thought it would be straight forward. I hooked the CT-17 to
COM4, power to my power supply, and the single cable with the two 1/8 inch
phono plugs to the CT-17 and the IC-706MKIIG. The original hex address on
the 706 was 58H and that did not work and then I changed it to 48H and that
did not work, either. I left the baud rate on the radio set at AUTO. This
seems like a fairly straightforward installation and it does not work. Any
help would be appreciated. I could not get it to work with WriteLog,
either.

Alan, N5PA
