You need to determine the software that your node is running, and 
become familiar with its features.  This is not specific to DX4WIN.

The two most popular are AR-Cluster and DX Spider:

I think I need a dummies guide to sending and receiving DX Spots from the
internet with a Telnet connection.

get spots that way.
