[Dx4win] Help File
I am unsure of the relevance of what is stated below, but share it in the hope that someone (perhaps me!) will ultimately benefit - I downloaded and installed 7.04. Tried to open the 'Help' file. Got the error message! Could not remember where the info was located for the fix (yes, I did find it, eventually and quite inadvertently, at AD1C's site, thanks again Jim, after I had tried what follows), so tried a number of things, among them copying the 'Help' file from the DX4Win folder to the 'Save' directory, and presto, everything works as I 'think' it should. Am I missing something here? Surely there is still a glitch in the program as written? [Dx4win] Two IOTA bugs in country database
I found two egregious errors in the IOTA database. Both EU-022 (Jan Mayen) and SA-070 were in the wrong hemisphere. EU-022 is the worse of the two errors, since entering a QSO with any JX station will cause the beam heading and distance to be incorrect. The errors will be corrected in the next release of the country file. If you want to fix them yourself: File -> Databases -> IOTA Type EU022 in the Search box Double-click on "8.50" in the Longitude column Use the Delete key, then type in "-8.50" (without the quotes), then Enter Type SA070 in the Search box Double-click on "73.50" in the Longitude column Use the Delete key, then type in "-73.50" (without the quotes), then Enter Finally, File -> Save Changes and Exit 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win

[Dx4win] Another confirmed bug in 7.04 - QSL method in QSO preferences
Don KA5EYH found another bug in 7.04. In your QSO preferences, if you try to change the default QSL method to something other than bureau, and you save your preferences, when you check your QSO preferences again, the setting is still "Buro". 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/Ø, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us ___ Dx4win mailing list Dx4win@mailman.qth.net http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
