[Dx4win] CPU Excessive Use
Just connected my new Elecraft K3 transceiver to computer and my computer indicates DX4WIN is using my entire CPU time. My preference settings are: Radio: Type Elecraft K3 (also tried Elecraft K3 X4) Address00 Baud Rate 38400 Notes for radioblank Com Port Com5 Poll Rate 1000 (ms) Max tries 6 DTR high unchecked RTS high unchecked There is no second radio. Re: [Dx4win] CPU Excessive Use with DX4WIN and K3
All , With special thank you to (Pete, N4ZR). Thanks to those who responded with suggestions. I changed the com port and cable on the computer from com port 5 (USB port out) to com port 1, which is a real serial port (RS-232) and the long delays and high cpu usage disappeared. Re: [Dx4win] ICOM IC-7600 DX4WIN support?
Hi George, Did the new 7600 rigfiles I sended you yesterday work? Because It is not clear in your mail if you used those that I wrote Concerning MMTTY, I only have a solution for FSK to work via the USB connection Not for AFSK, for FSK you need to put a dll in the mmtty directory And use EXTFSK in mmtty setup, If you donĀ“t find the dll on the mmtty Webpage I can sent it to you Guy -Oorspronkelijk bericht- Van: george [mailto:goofy...@rochester.rr.com] Verzonden: zondag 28 juni 2009 20:34 Aan: Guy Dewaelhens Onderwerp: Re: [Dx4win] ICOM IC-7600 DX4WIN support? Guy; I got the 7600 talking to my computer through the USB connection. The packet clicks work fine to change the frequency and mode. Now I'm trying to get MMTTY working with this set up. I can receive RTTY fine but cannot send AFSK to the 7600 using the MMTTY program. MMTTY apparently does not like the virtual Com port assigned by the Icom driver which is Com7. I also have two sound cards in my computer so I suspect this may be my problem. By the way I also have the same problem with PSK31 DigiPan. It receives fine but no audio from the computer to the 7600 in transmit. I guess this USB/7600 stuff is kinda new and I'm blazing a trail. Thanks for your help.
