[Dx4win] Application Note: Membership Lists

2009-09-29 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
I've created a new Application Note about the Membership List feature
in DX4WIN 8.0x:

http://dx4win.ad1c.us/appnotes/members.htm

This is really just a first draft. I want to improve the "Obtaining"
links in the first part. There's no public link to this page yet.

Please try this out yourself, send me any comments, questions, suggestions.

[Dx4win] Resetting UPLOAD flag does not result in re=exporting QSO for LoTW

2009-09-29 Thread Mark Lunday
I goofed with a filter on, and accidentally set the UPLOAD flag to Y.

No QSO's were exported, but I said YES when asked if I wanted to set the
flag for those to Y (hey, it was late and I am tired).

So not knowing how to UNDO that, I just went through and reset the flag to
N. However, there is still a date in the UPLOAD DATE field, and I can't get
the QSO's to re-export to an ADIF file.

Suggestions?

Re: [Dx4win] Resetting UPLOAD flag does not result in re=exporting QSO for LoTW

2009-09-29 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
Mark, I think you have the steps out-of-order.

The progression is:

starting with Upl = N, Upl Date = empty:

1. Upload flag is set for a QSO. Either by adding a QSO
to your log, or using the LoTW operation to do it.

2. Export for LoTW. This creates an ADIF file containing
all QSOs for which the Upl flag is set. It also sets
the Upl Date to today's date. It asks if you want to
clear the Upload flags. Usually one answers yes.

My understanding is that once the Upl Date is set, you can NOT export
that QSO again. You have to clear the Upl Date and set the Upl flag.
At that point, try the Export for LoTW again.

There are a bunch of multiple QSO operations in the LoTW menu for
setting/clearing dates and flags. They ask if you want to use the
current filter.

Does this help you understand what you need to do?
