[Dx4win] marking qsos

2009-12-07 Thread John Magnuson
I've used DX4WIN for quite a while for logging, but now I want to use it for
helping me to manage QSLs. I don't want to print labels; I prefer to fill out
my custom QSL cards by hand. I want to mark (flag) certain QSOs (DX) and at a
later time, e.g., weekly, show a list of QSOs that I want to send cards to.
The manual is not clear about how to do this. It seems to assume that the user
will want to print labels.
When I receive cards, I do understand how to mark them as confirmed.
Is there someone else out there who fills out QSLs by hand? Please advise me.

You don't have to print labels. Just use a plain piece of paper instead
of a sheet of labels and you will have a printed list.

[Dx4win] Version 8 anomaly?

2009-12-07 Thread Roger D Johnson
I just noticed over 200 QSOs have had the frequency changed to SAT! They
are all correct in version 7 logfile. Anyone else have this problem?

[Dx4win] Colors for dx spots on 10 MHz

2009-12-07 Thread LY2CX
Hello,

I'm getting "Colors for DX spots" in the "Dx spots[DXCC] window marked
as NEW BAND/MODE on 10 MHz band even if this country is confirmed
in the log on cw mode.

If I click on this spot get the call in the callsign window but always
the Mode in the QSO window is set to SSB STRANGE behavior

Does Any can advise how to get rid of this on 10 MHz?

Re: [Dx4win] Colors for dx spots on 10 MHz

2009-12-07 Thread Mel
Not strange at all. Your CW cutoff frequency is not set properly.
DX spots normally do not indicate mode so the CW cutoff allows DX4Win to
make a reasonable guess. Make sure that the CW cutoff is above the top
of the band so DX4Win will always assume CW. You will find it in
Preferences... QSO... CW cutoff frequency.

[Dx4win] Problem with DXCC summary

2009-12-07 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
Please reply to PA3BWS as well as the reflector (reply/all)

Hello Jim,

Recently I changed my pc because my powersupply of this pc broke down
and it was not possible to repair it. So I used the harddisk with all
data from pc1 (broken one) and installed it in pc2. On this HD is also
the dx4win-program with my logbook. I can read my logbook with some
7200 qso’s, but cannot get a good summary for dxcc-purposes. It only
produces now a summary from all qso’s made on hf-bands, but without
warc-bands. I checked if the qso’s made on warc-bands are in the
logbook and yes they are.

Now I want to have all my qso’s made on all hf-bands in the summary of dxcc.

How to solve this problem ?

I've just discovered that these QSOs are actually dupes of valid QSOs.
This makes it easier
as all I have to do is delete the dupes. I still have no idea how this
happened however.
