Re: [Dx4win] Data file updates coming

2010-01-07 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
Sorry folks, I had one of those nights last night where I came home
and didn't want to look at a computer!

I should have the updates over the weekend.

Re: [Dx4win] Problem with the F2 key

2010-01-07 Thread Tonno Vahk
Well, previously it was asking if I want to do it again and that is surely
the best way.

In my case it usually happens when bureau card has been sent and I receive
Direct request. Of course I would like to mark it again for QSL then and set
QSL mode to Direct.

Tonno,
There is some logic behind this
If the qsldate was set means that qsl is sended already
Set again depends on mailed cutoff in preferences

Re: [Dx4win] Wish List

2010-01-07 Thread Mel
maybe you should ask Paul to consider supporting it. You could always
make an optional cheaper 4 port version for radio control I suspect.
Maybe some of the contest logger guys would be interested too. I'd love
to interface it with a box to route Audio and CW lines as well as the RF .

The problem with this is that it would require a proprietary
>> hardware
interface. The existing two-radio switching uses the "industry
standard" LPT pin 14 toggle that's been around since the days of DOS
loggers such as CT and TR. Paul even made the logic of this control
line selectable to work with NA in Version 7. This convention works
well with several commercially-available SO2R switch boxes such as
the Top Ten DX Doubler I use. Using more than one LPT pin to do the
radio selection would require some sort of decoding hardware to do
the switching. I suppose pin 14 could serve as the least significant
bit of a two-bit radio select word and it would be up to the user to
come up with a custom switchbox to switch the various audio and
control lines among the four radios. I know of no hardware that
 supports more than two radios.

Re: [Dx4win] Wish List

2010-01-07 Thread Mel
Well I thought the idea of making a hardware switch to control more than
2 radios was a great idea... how I leave up to the experts ;-) I suppose
the ideal solution would be a USB driven relay box such as we use for
band switches. Is there any sort of standard for this functionality yet?

Re: [Dx4win] Problem with the F2 key

2010-01-07 Thread Tonno Vahk
Nope, there is still a problem in 8.03 with F2 key it seems to me.

When QSL Date is set then F2 Key DOES NOT DO ANYTHING ELSE THAN SET
CONFIRMED FLAG Y.

The box that previously appeared: "Do you want to mark the QSL Label again"
or something does not appear. Label is not marked Y and Method is not
Changed as it should be.

I have Mark for Printing Label checked, yes.
