[Dx4win] ADIF to DX4WIN log conversion version 4.99 (test version)

2010-05-03 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
I have released a test version of ADIF to DX4WIN, you can get it here:

http://dx4win.ad1c.us/adif2dxq/adif2dxq_20100504.zip

The main reason for the new version is a major reorganization of the
library functions I share with two other programs. Along the way I
added:

  - JIDX (populates Japanese Prefecture custom award)
  - MN QSO Party
  - NC QSO Party
  - VA QSO Party
  - combined 7QP/INQP/NEQP/MARAC (choice at the end)
  - fixed Nebraska QSO Party counties
  - CA, MI, OH and VA QSO parties put serial number in Recvd field
  - ADIF field names (i.e. CALL, EOH, EOR) can be in UPPER or lower case

If you find any problems in the program let me know. I really want to
release all three programs at once, but don't have time right now.
Probably next weekend.

[Dx4win] Upgrade - Newbie Question

2010-05-03 Thread Hal Kennedy
Just starting out on DX4WIN and into my first problem. Sorry to be
asking "easy" questions.

I installed 8.03 and have it running fine.

If I download 8.04 and install it, it installs in C:\dx4win804, a
completely new entity including all the subdirectories, and has no
access to my license. I'm sure I could move my license there from the
install that's still at C:\dx4win803, but what about all the saved
files, etc?. Anyway, I uninstalled 8.04 and reading what I thought were
the directions more carefully, I reinstalled it into C:\dx4win803. It
winds up creating an entire new entry with all the subdirectories in
C:\dx4win803\dx4win804.

I give - how do you really do this?

Thanks,
Hal N4GG

[Dx4win] "Notes to Add" to Wrong Field

2010-05-03 Thread J.F. Samuels
I recently upgraded from release 7 to 8. I participated in the Florida QSO
Party last weekend and added the QSOs from ADIF. I set the Contest Mode |
Notes to Add field to "FQP" and loaded the records. Today I received a QSL
and noticed that the FQP is appearing in the Notes for this Call, not Notes
for this QSO. I searched the forum, but do not see this reported before.
How can I fix this for 500 QSOs? Is it fixed in 8.4?

[Dx4win] V8.04 - thank you

2010-05-03 Thread Ian & Steph Fugler (G4IIY)
I updated from v8.02 to v8.04 today. For some reason the .ini file refused to
write in 8.02, coming up with an exception error. I just set all the
Preferences from scratch in v8.04 and all is well. It saves the .ini file in
v8.04 no problem.

I do like the special features for the CW function keys, when in F9 entry mode.
It means that you could run in contests with a fixed exchange (such as CQWW)
without tabbing to and from the two windows.

Fixing the F2 key (no longer marking the QSO for a label) is very welcome.

Many thanks, Paul/Jim.

[Dx4win] CTYDIFF Utility Release 1.3

2010-05-03 Thread OZ1AXG Flam
Hi

I made a new version of the CTYDIFF utility. The previous version had some
issues with Dx4Win 8x export ADIF files.

The CTYDIFF 1.3 may be downloaded here:
http://home.cbkn.dk/DX/ctydiff.htm

Description:

CTYDIFF is a command line utility for Windows XP that compares two
log files for changes in DXCC/Entity Status of QSO's.

Both log files must be in ADI format as generated by DX4WIN ADIF
export fuction.

Use this utility to get an overview of the changes made to your
logfiles when using different/upgrading versions of DX4WIN.CTY

Re: [Dx4win] Export for LoTW

2010-05-03 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
If ADIF is not the fisrt line in the File | Import/Export list, then
your DX4WIN.IEP file is corrupt. Un-install the program and
re-install. Might be worth it to go to 8.04 at the same time.

[Dx4win] Export for LoTW

2010-05-03 Thread Andy P Hewitt
Hi,

I am having a little difficulty exporting recent QSOs. I am using 8.03 and
after selecting the "file to write to" the Import/Export Filter window pops
up and I cannot do anything with it as a window saying "197 QSOs exported"
is open also. The Import/Export filter also seems to have an extra line in
above the "ADIF exchange format" line, the only thing in this line is "imp"
in the second column. I have been unable to find how to edit out this line,
neither can I delete the filter selected - if there is one that is causing
this.

73and thanks in anticipation
