Re: [Dx4win] All Spots Greyed Out
It's nice when one's mistakes can be of benefit to others! :-) Believe me, I puzzled over it a long time. I thought the packet spots file was corrupted, deleted it, problem came back. I merged my .INI settings into the existing .CFG file, that didn't fix the problem either. I think there is a small window of time when two DX4WIN's start up together that can cause .CFG corruption. Once DX4WIN is running, you can't start a new one. Maybe Paul can try to create this in the lab. :-) - Jim On Fri, May 21, 2010 at 11:56 AM, Bud Governale, W3LL wrote: > Your solution worked! Jim, Your solution worked! I would not have found it without your help. In retrospect I also inadvertently tried to start DX4WIN twice at the same time. I didn't associate this to my problem. 73, Bud W3LL - Original Message - From: "Jim Reisert AD1C" To: "Bud Governale, W3LL" Cc: Sent: Friday, May 21, 2010 12:56 PM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] All Spots Greyed Out Bud, I had this problem recently (tried to start DX4WIN twice at the same time, .CFG got corrupted). The only way to fix it was to delete the DX4WIN.CFG file and merge in my .INI settings that I had saved prior to the problem. I would not trust writing the .INI file post-problem then merging into empty CFG file. - Jim On Fri, May 21, 2010 at 8:55 AM, Bud Governale, W3LL wrote: > Don't know what I did but all spots have been coming in grayed out. > > Using version 8.04. > > Bands, Modes, and Mode Groups are properly checked in Preferences Station Tab > > Band/Mode not conf is checked in Preferences Packet 1 > > Packet 2 has not been changed > > Packet 3 has all Bands and Modes checked > > What could be causing this? > > I'm on digest so also send direct. > > 73, -- Jim Reisert AD1C, , http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html

[Dx4win] All Spots Greyed Out
Don't know what I did but all spots have been coming in grayed out. Using version 8.04. Bands, Modes, and Mode Groups are properly checked in Preferences Station Tab Band/Mode not conf is checked in Preferences Packet 1 Packet 2 has not been changed Packet 3 has all Bands and Modes checked What could be causing this? I'm on digest so also send direct. 73, Bud W3LL w...@arrl.net __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
