[Dx4win] Problems with version 6.02 and LOTW upload

2010-12-10 Thread k1jb
In March of this year I finally signed up for LOTW. I used filter selection
to set up a date filter called ALL and went through the upload and transfer
process with no problem. I transferred 58,652 QSO's from 1/1/78 through
3/10/10.

Then in June I set up another date filter selection for another 580 Qs from
3/11/10 through 6/4/10 and this also went through fine. I called this
filter LOTW2

Now I'm trying to do it again for another 3,828 Qs, but I can't seem to be
able to create another filter. The steps I've used are:

From the QSO window (Labeled K1JB sorted by date) go to Filters - Selection

Choose Add (Replace this name comes up in the Current Selection window)

Change name to LOTW3

Type in the dates 06/17/10 through 12/05/10

The Date Filter box automatically checks

Click OK

The display goes back to the QSO window, but now it says K1JB sorted by date
LOTW2 - that is, it brings up the previous filter.

I've tried this many times with slight changes, but it always reverts to the
previous filter.

I've read through AD1C's App. Note 8 (Working with LOTW), but it doesn't
seem to apply to my earlier version (Version 6.02). For example I have no
option to Upl in my setup preferences, and there's no Set Upload Flags in my
Labels menu, etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tnx es 73, Joe, K1JB

[Dx4win] Label Printing Problem..

2010-12-10 Thread Glenn Edson
Using version 8.02 DX4WIN and have problem printing labels with this version.
The only info that is printed is the Pse QSL etc but nothing re the dx station
or his report information. Any suggestions on what to try would be most
appreciated. Our interest is for individual qsls', not for a specific group.
Our previous approach has been using Avery 8460 labels on letter size label
forms.

Re: [Dx4win] Problems with version 6.02 and LOTW upload

2010-12-10 Thread Jim Reisert AD1C
You don't even need to make a selection filter if you remember the
last date you uploaded.

Say last time you uploaded QSOs from 23-Feb-2010 to 7-Jul-2010. Now
you want to do the rest.

In your Prefs, make sure Searching | QSO Date is set to Greater than or Equal.

Now use F8 and enter 07/07/2010 in the Date field. File |
Import/Export, select ADIF format, then File | Export. DX4WIN will
ask if you want to use the current filter. Answer Yes.

This will export all QSOs in ADIF format from 07/07/2010 to present date.

You can keep the same filter active and use multiple QSO operations
(or QSL menu) to set the LoTW Upload Date for all those QSOs, and
clear the upload flags.

This is MUCH EASIER in version 8, which keeps track of the flags for
you, and makes the whole process SO much easier (you still have to
sign the log and upload it).
