[Dx4win] Application list for custom awards
Hi, In earlier versions of DX4WIN it was possible to get a report for custom awards that contained station call, time, date and if worked, mailed or confirmed. This was very convenient when it was time to apply. Now, it is just possible create a list with acceptable award criteria (entities) and if confirmed. Is it possible in version 8 to make a list for custom awards where award entity, call, date, time, band and if confirmed is shown, as it was in eaerlier versions? 73 de Mel – SM0MPV 8S0C – Contest Call __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
Re: [Dx4win] Application list for custom awards
I totally agree with Mel. Please restore the functionality of right mouse button click on the custom award field as it was in earlier versions. When Paul re-wrote the report generator in 8.0x, that functionality was lost. I too would like to see it come back. Someone wanted an IOTA needed list recently (worked but unconfirmed IOTA, by callsign). I was able to make one for him after he sent me two files. But it wasn't straightforward. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, jjreis...@alum.mit.edu, http://www.ad1c.us __ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Dx4win@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
[Dx4win] Unique call count
I've seen this posted before but cant find it. How can I get a count of unique calls from a log? I did play around with the Master Calls conversion which deletes all duplicate callsigns, but couldn't get a count from the resulting file. Re: [Dx4win] DX4Win and USB Ports
You will need some usb to serial convertrers. Dx4win has not problems. I have tried old computer with many programs loaded and dx4win still plays. But some other programs (like writelog) are very sensitive with cw keying via a usb port. Winkeyer is a very good alternative solution on this subject and is supported by dx4win if you want to buy one. If you have a simple cw keying interface, it is better to connect it to the real com port. Cat control and ptt is not problem whether is connected. If you need rtty you will need a real com port for fsk. 73 Kostas sv1dpi - Original Message - From: Byron Peebles n...@arrl.net To: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Sent: Thursday, March 17, 2011 5:29 AM Subject: [Dx4win] DX4Win and USB Ports It's time to update a ten year old shack, and the new computer has one real serial port and the rest are USB (serial bus) ports. So, I want to connect my TenTec Orion II to this. Are there any tricks to doing CAT Radio Control, CW keying or the TenTec USB-sound-card interface through USB? How do I map the COM ports listed in DX4WIN to USB?
